Hello, dear developers of BioWare!
I am a Russian fan of Dragon Age and am fascinated by this game.
I am looking forward to the release and localisation of Dragon Age 2, but I have got the information from the official Russian EA site  that the translation will be done only in the form of subtitles. Tell me, is it true?
According to my research and survey, about third of fans are dissatisfied by the absence of the vocal postscoring. Please, pay attention to this...

I'm also Russian and I want to ask - please, include English language in Russian release. Removing it makes no sense - you sell PS3 version at the same price of $60 here, let us choose the language!(((

P.S. Had to import DAO from UK to play in English. I wanted to hear Claudia Black and other famous actors, not some scum EA hires for russian VO.

Also: why the heck would you want to play localized version? Haven't you heard what they did to DAO? Russian localization was just atrocious. I'm glad I was able to import english-language version. Most RPG fans in Russia know english pretty well - you know, eventually you'll have to learn this language if you're fond of gaming and RPGs in particular. Gothic fans even learn german.

Also: come on Bioware, I'm ready to pay $100 for this game AS LONG as you can actually choose the language!

Yes, it had serious lacks, but will they certainly be in the second part as well? Besides, actor's voices had been chosen very well, in my opinion.
Yes, many know the language, but nevertheless, according to my observations and polling, about one third of players were dissatisfied with the absence of localization. To restrain ones for the sake of others? I am not against including the original voices in Russian edition, whereas you are against localisation. But why limit the choice?

Speak for yourself. How many Russian players RPG you know personally? Many players do not understand the nuances of the text of the Codeх. IMHO, they do not get full enjoyment from this game.

I want complite localization.

Or the option to choose the language

You need to address this question to EA who publishes the game. Bioware is only develops and has nothing to do with localization.

For me it's not an issue as I dont live in Russia, but let's be realistic, that many people in Russia will not be able to fully enjoy the game (if at all play it) if it's not in russian.

Maybe BW has nothing to do with it, but they deffinetly can forward it or you to the person who has.

Well, if you had bought the pc version you could choose the language you want to install, and anyway you could work on the .ini to change the language of text or voice.
I did it with ME2, I modified the .ini to have the voices in English and text in Italian, and not both in my own language, because I preferred the English voices (Italian version of the first Mass Effect was great, the second not so much and Shepard's voice changed).

Klimy, I appreciate your concern coz I'm Russian too and agree that DA2 will loose its zest without localized voice-over.

Honestly I don't expect too much support from BW bearing in mind they did not address the problem of Russian in toolset despite that issue was raised long time ago. I guess the problem supposedly is with coding. Maybe BW used wrong KOI?

Yes, we bought the PC version and nope - we can't do that: there are simply no files. Only Russian vo and only Russian subtitles, no other folders, no other choice. That's the way it is done in Russia.

So I am personally quite satisfied with the fact that there will be no Russian vo in DAII :wizard:

Based on the fact that Lair of the Shadow Broker (ME2) will not be released in some countries due to localization, then probably they will not feel sorry if they skip localization of DA2. I hope I'm wrong.

Wish you luck with it, but dont get your hopes too high so that it will not hurt later on.

THIS.
I am buying games in UK just to hear original VO, it's always a way better than Russian. Just look at crappy Mass Effect done by snowball.ru! <_<
