Doesn't the article mention Flemeth as a dragon kills some darkspawn before transforming into her human form? If Flemeth is killing darkspawn it makes me wonder if she doesn't help Hawke escape the Blight perhaps?

True, and considering you can't do that quest until after Lothering is attacked I guess she would have had some time to involve herself in there some way.

If they pull the same Liara **** in DA2 regarding character cameos I will honestly not buy another game they make. That was the ultimate betrayal of ME2.

man you read my mind.You know Flemeth smelled Hawke greatness(lol) so she saved him  and send him  to the free marches to become the king, overlord,emperor ect.

All I can say is that you can't have a Dragon Age game without a little "Oghren Time", just saying.

well if you read the article it says that the dragon transforms into a familiar figure, which is Flemeth. By saying familiar figure it could mean that she didn't "die" yet which could mean that once you do meet her it is when you are escaping Lothering which also then means that the game starts at the destruction of Lothering (source game informer article). So yea she could be helping Hawke, but for what means, that might be the big question.

I would love to have Sandal as a new companion, or someone similarly addled-yet-powerful, like that apostate in the Brecilian Forest.

I'm not being facetious. It's been a while since we had a truly insane/disturbed/impaired character, for comic relief or otherwise. Not since Minsc, I'd say, have we had a real nutter.

Hehe, that's pretty much the point I was trying to make earlier and I think the intent of my original post slipped past Mr. Gaider.   I assume he probably doesn't follow much of the ME2 feedback so its not that big a surprise if he doesn't know anything about the Liara trainwreck.



Still, DA2 already doesn't sound like much of a game I'm interested in, even if they do have "great" cameos for old companions.  Once they (if ever) get back around to telling the story of my Warden I'll be interested.  Till then think I'll go do something else.  Maybe pick up Oblivion again and waste a couple hundred hours of my life.

How can you people decide between two equally awesome choices and still end up making an epic plot? Generally speaking of course
Moreover, how can you make these choices without letting the public opinion influence you? I find it difficult to
balance the number of opinions with the reasons behind them.

This is pure "SPECULATION" on my part, but I've always wondered if Flemeth might have had a daughter for a host that was at one a time a grey warden.  Flemeth seemed to know a great deal about wardens when she rescued PC and Alistair at tower of Ishal.
