Yes, but what if you killed him? How does that fare with continuity? I don't think you can base a story on a certain choice half the players might not have done.
But then again I could be wrong.
Well I don't think Dragon Age is going to never have any type of continuity just because someone could have chosen a different option. It would be kind of boring to play a bunch of unconnected random stories.

I remember killing Flemeth and that didn't stop her from coming back... The architect is also a very powerful mage who has experimented quite a lot of different things, he might have a way to cheat/fake death, if it makes for a better story.

Since Bioware cares about their fans needs, we, who want him to comeback, should show them our request. What do you think about it?

How can the Architect be in the next game as there is no autosave after completing Awakenings, unless you can use a save made right before you fight the Boobmother?
Presumably that save is used.
Yes, they have said Awakening will carry over.

He caused the fifth blight. He thinks getting the old gods killed will free the darkspawn. But he uses grey wardens to awaken darkspawn, who are made using archdemon blood. So it would actually seem like his goal is contradictory, because once he runs out of archdemonds we'll could run out of grey wardens, and darkspawn can't awaken without them.
Meanwhile i was looking for a something else i found this info about the Grey Warden ritual
You can use a drop of Archdemon blood mixed with certain darkspawn
blood, or just magically enhance certain darkspawn blood. I saw a
posting where David Gaider explained that it does not require Archdemon blood. Which would
make sense, or there would be no Grey Wardens by the time of the Dragon
Age (remember it has been 400 years since the last archdemon).

I love the architect, and I think he has an important role coming up, as a antaginist or protagonist, I don't care, He was awsome!!
Having just completed awakening yesterday, i agree.
It was wierd.
I had fully intended to kill him when i started but he just came off as such a level headed, well reasoned guy.
"Oh and i caused the blight"
"Its cool, bro"

Would that not make you MORE sympathetic to the Architect's cause?IrishSpectre257 wrote...
The Architect's role ended when I killed him without a second thought, since I read The Calling.

The voice actor did a brilliant job conveying the cool with-it thing, didn't he.

My money's on him coming back. He's been a central character in a game expansion and an entire novel. He knows where the Old Gods are, and his intentions have helluva lot of consequences for the Grey Wardens. Plus he sells games/books, and fans can't seem to decide whether he's good or evil. David Gaider ain't gonna throw away a cash cow like that.Would that not make you MORE sympathetic to the Architect's cause?IrishSpectre257 wrote...

Nope. anything that possibly become my warden a ghoul isn't a good cause
