I see so many pessimistict and angry posts here so I would like to just offer my thanks to you Bioware for the enjoyment you games have given me over the years and I appricite all your Programmers, Developers, Writers and Artists hard work. Times have been tough for everyone with the way things are but its glad to see that dosnt seem to have perfected the spot on job you are all doing,  Thank you.

I appreciate your continued work on the Dragon Age IP and am looking forward to this new direction. It has alot of promise from what ive read so far, and seems like it will offer much greater depth and relatability then the current incarnation of the IP. Origens/Awakening had too many varibles even though I enjoyed it as well there were lacking  times due to the sheer number of options you had to code for. I really feel for you, it must have been frustrating and demanding. Im extremly happy on your deicision to focus the story and I like the idea of events happening over a decade instead of the small time frame Origens and Awakening take place in. I am also looking forward to having personal recognition of our characters beyond just "Warden" and how the protagonist of the next generation will have a defined name and spoken interactive dialog. I am very excited for this, thank you Bioware.

I am also extremly happy to have confirmed that The Wardens story will have effect on events in DA2, it has lit the fires of motivation to play all through again and really evaluate the deicions made to setup a choice/preferable start and story relavance I would like in my gaming experince in your forthcoming Dragon Age 2. Thank you

In closing I hope you can achive everything you wanted in this IP without much cuts, and I am looking forward to enjoying the world of Thedas once again from entirly new perspective.  Thank you very much Bioware.

I'm not gonna lie, Bioware could come out with the most ridiculous B.S. on the face of the earth; they could announce that every character in the game is now a giant chicken rabbit who speaks mandarin, and I would say "It's Bioware, I don't know how but it's gonna be awesome!!!"

There has yet to be a bioware game that was anything short of fantastic and I doubt one will be coming anytime soon.

BIOWARE FOREVER!!!

What I really like is the presence of many members of the DA team on the forums. So, thank you BioWare for caring about your customers.

tru dat. ilu, bioware. u no i will always come back 2 u bby, plz dont ever leaf

I've never been disappointed by a Bioware game. I didn't think Mass Effect 2 was all that intelligent, mind you, or realistic when it came to things like romances (BUT THE PRIIIIIIIZE), but it was fun and I wasn't left feeling unsatisfied. I got my fifty bucks worth. From where I'm standing, there is no reason to doubt their skill - especially the phenomenal skills in story telling and character depth that the DA team has.

I think it's ganna be awwwwright.

Agreed. This is something you normally don't see on most game forums.

It will end as soon as the game is released. Sure did in the case of ME 2. They participate before release, to appease everyone and make sure they buy the game, then after release there's only silence.

While I've expressed my concerns, doubts, and dislikes with some of the information so far, I too want to add my voice to the thanks. Bioware has consistently delivered an enjoyable gaming experience. And they are the only developer still around that does so. And having played every Bioware game since BG, DAO was my second favorite of them so obviously I am glad they are continuing the franchise. Good luck folks.

That's to be expected; there are some (quite a few, actually) self-centered gamers out there that would be screeching and howling at them if there was any tiny little thing that they personally didn't like. If Bioware employees took the time to address those idiots all the time, we'd never get any games at all.

Can't confirm that for NWN oc.
Looks more like they show up when the development schedules of various projects allow it
and they take interest in a topic / posting - one way or another.

No instead the Dev's have to waste time to post warnings and run around with a ban stick because people like you love to call others idiots and just about everything else under the sun. Maybe some are, but we are supposed to play nice in the sandbox...no FFA's here.

As far as appreciation goes, I love every Bio game I have except one and that is a really good track record. I do appreciate them and even supported them in the past like buying gold/plat/diamond nwn's and all the premium modules. So yeah I am a fan. I also have strong opinions and will post when I feel the need too. Eol.

You don't honestly think that the developers are working on creating the actual game and moderating the forum 100% of the time, do you? If that's true, I am extremely impressed with their time management skills (and also sort of wonder why they have moderators on here at all if they do that job themselves anyways).

And for the record, until I am specifically told otherwise, I am perfectly free to think that other people are idiots as long as I don't tell them that directly.

My only problem is having to wait till it's finished.

I'm all for change and a new direction but I have no patience what so ever when it comes to waiting for sequels.

Blame TES 5 not me!

Just wanted to say thanks especially to the devs who are posting in this forum and keeping a sense of humour about it, even despite some of the abuse that's been thrown at them! I'm really looking forward to the game, even though I was one of the people initially disappointed with the first details we had.

Really looking forward to the game. Of course it could happen that I won't like it, but that's something I doubt. Till now I loved every BioWare game I bought and I'm sure this one will be no exception (well at least I hope so ;))

And thanks by the way for all the great games you've made till now.

People who want to complain tend to be more vocal than those who are quite happy really.
