 and HATED NWN II .... should I buy this?   Looking for positives and negatives to both if any.

If you liked DAO and ME you will like DA2.

Or if you liked Fable you will like DA2.

Not much info is out and what is positive and negative is up to you.

You should do more info digging and not listen to anything beyond what Arttis pretty much said.

There's really not any info at all about DA2, so stay tuned and ask that question again in like 7 months

Edit: just read your second post, in that case, I'd say yes, you should get DAO

You mean DA2, not DAO2.

But definitely get DAO if you liked the games mentioned earlier.

Well, Dragon Age 2 is a Bioware game and has the same lead writer as BGII did.

NWN2 was an Obsidian game. Granted, I don't think being an Obsidian game is a slam. They have some interesting games coming out and employ the lead writer from Planescape: Torment (Chris Avellone).

Yeah, I found DAO to be a "spiritual successor" to the BG games in that it continued the stuff I liked most about BGII (the party banter, the romance options, combat deep enough that your choices in approach can enhance your character investment).  So definitely get the PC version and see what you think Alistair, Morrigan, Zevran, Leliana and others.
