We had "This Is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars for the last game.

This is a thread for suggestions and ideas as to what DA2's ending theme will be.

Something beautiful, tragic, something what makes you sad and gives you hope at the same time!

Like This Song

But I hope they are still in love with Two Steps From Hell, their Power of Darkness album is unbeatable.

Two Steps From Hell - Invincible (Quality isn't the best)

You know, when you think about it, wouldn't it be smarter to think up these ideas after you something about the game? Rofl.

No, no fail.  Besides, epic music is always epic.  And it doesn't hurt to be epic B)

I was thinking of the theme from Children of Dune:

I really like the 30 Seconds to Mars song...very epic. If they continue with the whole rock + fantasy thing (which I really like), I hope they keep it at about that level, and not so much with the Marilyn Manson stuff.

It would also be pretty cool if there were more cutscenes that had that sort of rock & roll epic feel. I can't think of anything in DA:O that really captures that feeling except for the archdemon...killing it and also Riordan leaping onto it.

Hmm, there we'll have to agree to disagree.  I don't MIND rock + fantasy, but it's not my favorite.  I much prefer classic instrumental a la Two Steps from Hell.  But I do agree with wanting more epic cutscenes...the endgame of ME2 was chock-full of them to the point where my jaw was permanently glued to the floor.

I do like This is War, but I feel like you can't really put that up with DAO's cutscenes or anything related to it, because it just doesn't fit.

Surprisingly thought, "This Is The New Sh*t", while not fitting in at all lyrically, definitely felt like it fit in with intensity.

And now I'll go do something-

1. Purchase This Is War on iTunes

2. Listen to This Is The New Sh*t on iTunes

3. Listen to Collide by Howie Day to feel better about myself

Yeah, "This is War" would probably actually fit ME2's cutscenes a lot better.

Shepard jumping the chasm at the end of ME2, Jack throwing things around with her biotics when you first meet her, Shepard cresting the pile of rubble at the end of ME1 looking all heroic, the fight between Morinth and Samara, etc. Lots of cool physical stuff happens in ME cutscenes.

With DAO it feels like the cool stuff happens during normal gameplay, then the cutscene after is people talking about what just happened (the aforementioned AD cutscenes are definitely an exception).

Maybe this is what the "new cinematic feel" is supposed to remedy. That would be great.
