I was just wondering since Dragon Age 2 so far seems to be set in the Free Marches how far do the Deep Roads stretch and will we see them Dragon Age 2? Do the Deep Roads run underneath all of Thedas or just Ferelden? Are there any Dwarven settlements in countries other than Ferelden?

Also an unrelated question but do you think we will see Ferelden in Dragon Age 2?

I recall hearing that they once stretched over all of Thedas - but now most of the tunnels are blocked off.

Wasn't there another dwarven city, that survived to this day, Kal-Sharok? According to this map it's located south of Anderfels.

The dwarven empire used to be as big as the Tevinter of old, but underground, so pretty much all of the continent.

Well, Kal-Sharok is described as being at the other end of the old empire so it would seem they range from Orzammar to the Anderfels - so pretty much the same area as Orlais at least.

There's 12 ( or was it 13) Thaig's, the only 2 remaining are Orzammar and Kal Sharok. Kal Hirol can be recovered in DA:A though.

The roads simply connect the thaig's, which are all over the place are likely all over Thedas. A safe bet would be assuming 1-2 per nation. (2 in Ferelden for sure, Orzammar and Kal Hirol)

EDIT:

Silly me, there's plenty of smaller Thaig's (around one per noble family) too.  Those seem to just branch of the main roads connecting the greater thaigs though.
