I for one am totally excited about DA 2 and I can't wait to see how you're going to integrate what our choices were in DA: O into what we do in DA 2.
I was also really surprised when I picked up Awakening, and now again with the new information, with how quickly it's coming out (Awakenings said Feb an we're now hearing March 2011). How long have y'all been working on DA2? I know DA:O only came out in November, which means there's only about a year and a half (am I doing the math right?) between the first and the second one, and y'all have been cranking out new DLCs for DA:O as well. Have you been working on DA2 since before DA:O was released?
I only ask because I remember being on the old DA:O boards and talking about dwarfs and elves and such as way far back as early 2007, when we were still chomping on the bit to get our hands on ME1. I know sequels must be easier because you've got a lot of the backstories and culture of the universe and things like that already laid out, and maybe even some of the graphics for the places if you're going to reuse them, but it sounds like this is going to be a hugely immersive experience with a lot of new areas to explore.
So....how long does it take to do a sequel like this? How long has DA2 been actively worked on?
How long have y'all been working on it?

Remember when Dragon age was gonna be released in early 2009? then it got postponed because they felt that they needed to polish some stuff, I assume that at least part of the team has been working on it since then.

Maybe they started work on it when they realised they were going to have to cut the Human Commoner Origin? Maybe they decided to give it its own epic game instead?

Now that's interesting. Take the human commoner origin, chop the opportunity of Duncan rescuing him/her out of it, and run with the rest of the story. I like.

there was no polishing. they just held the release back because another company was late with their console port.
