Hey there,

The toolset isntalled fine as far as I can tell but when I try to run it I get the

"Unable to connect to the database.

Run the toolset configuration program and verify

your settings or search the toolset wiki http://social.biowar.../wiki/datoolset to help with this issue.

This toolset must now exit."

I tried running the config program with no success.  There is nothing in my toolssql folder except for an empty data folder.

I am running Windows 7 and got the digital deluxe version from the EA store.

I saw the fixes for the steam issue but I never got an error when I installed the toolset so wasn't sure if it applied to me.

Thanks!

AR

I received this error as well. You might want to try the suggestions on: http://social.biowar...the_database.22

I believe the cause of my issue was trying to sync the databases between 2 computers using a file sync program. The only solution I've found was to uninstall the sql server, then reinstall the toolset to recreate the databases.

Hope this helps.

Same here. (Vista-32, CE)
The ever handy run as administrator doesn't help any.
And the solutions on the wiki mostly confuse me.
Since my data folder is empty, I suspect this command should help, but where the hell am I supposed to enter it? It's too long for the standard "run".

C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft SQL Server\\90\\Tools\\Binn\\"sqlcmd -S .\\BWDATOOLSET -E -Q "RESTORE DATABASE bw_dragonage_content FROM DISK = 'C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\tools\\dbbak\\bw_dragonage_content.bak' WITH MOVE 'bw_dragonage_content' TO 'C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\tools\\toolssql\\Data\\bw_dragonage_content.mdf', MOVE 'bw_dragonage_content_Log' TO 'C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\tools\\toolssql\\Data\\bw_dragonage_content.ldf'

I just ran into this problem today. Yesterday I installed win7 home premium, and had to reinstall all of my programs. I made backups of my games folder and just migrated it, but I'm assuming some permissions are off. I'm trying to reinstall right now.

Possibly relevant infos:

win7 fresh install

game is going onto a separate drive ( G: vs C: )

toolset worked perfectly fine prior to reinstall

Link to the other thread on this topic. None of the solutions there worked for me, but they did work for others.

Something to try, worked for me (thanks to EvilEdison for this fix)

Assuming you currently have a failed install of SQL and the Toolset...

* Uninstall toolset via Add/Remove Programs
* Uninstall all files related to SQL via Add/Remove Programs
* Remove remaining SQL related items via Windows Install Cleanup
* Uninstall MSXML6 via Add/Remove Programs (this may or may not work, move on regardless)
* Remove any instances of MSXML remaining in Windows Install Cleanup
* Reinstall Toolset

You should see a configuration screen at some point during the SQL install. If that runs successfully, the toolset should run.

I will give that a try when I get home tonight! Although after reading about the game issues that are popping up when you use the toolset I may wait for a bit! I'm having too much fun playing the game anyway!

I have the same problem, I have installed the Toolset twice now, but to no avail. I have no idea what I shall do, so many Ideas, but I did not even get this piece of crap running. That surely is not what I expected.
Anyone an Idea what I can do?
Btw. When i run the cmd i get this error message as well:
Msg 262 Lvl 14,Create Database permission denied in database "master"  AND
Msg 3013,Lvl 16,State 1,Server XXXXXXXX,Line 1
Restore Database is terminating abnormally

you know I forgot to mention that I am also running th 64bit of Windows... Could it be an issue that DA is installed in the folder "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age" ?

Thanks!
