Hawke is the son of a woman who gave birth to him during her transformation into a Broodmother, and contains a strangely large amount of concentrated taint, the game revolves around controlling the taint while avoid Darkspawn that want to use Hawke in a ritual to rapidly corrupt all of the remaining Old Gods, creating a Blight the likes of which would wipe out the entire world. OR SOMETHING.

Man... All I've heard is that Hawke is the family name of the PC in DA2... my sources are sub-par!
