Usually play as a s/b AW, but agreeing here. Variety is a good thing.
It is the spice of life.
Or death, in this case.

some would say it's not that effective, simply using one weapon, but it's never really the 'style': it's the practitioner.
If they were to implement a single weapon style, esp. for sword, I'm hoping it's not 'too flashy', and not modern fencing. Maybe one of the more 'conservative' or traditional chinese straightsword styles. (I'd prefer taijijian, which I study, but xingyijian or baguajian would be just as great)
heheh, and yeah, a barehand fighting form would be nice, too.

Yeah, same here. I'd like to see a single weapon tree as well, mind you, but it's that pointy thing Hawke is holding on the cover that has me excited.

And better archery. In my opinion archery was useless in origins.

I wouldn't mind single-weapon talents, but I don't see myself using them.
What I would very much like, though, are attacks that work whatever melee weapon you're using. Something like 'forceful strike', which would be an instant attack with whatever's in your mainhand doing extra damage based on strength, stuff like those. The rogue had a few of these (deadly strike, below the belt) but the warrior had none.

Single Weapon (Dueling in most games) is a must. I'd also like to see Pole-Weapons. There was a great topic on this a long time ago, but I'd love to see unarmed combat and dueling more than anything else.
M'aiq also suggests a combined style, using a blade for offense and your offhand to disrupt attackers with punches and disarms.

On the main DA2 page: http://dragonage.bioware.com/da2/ , Hawke is holding what looks to be a spear or polearm. The press released said something about fighting like a Spartan so expect some pole weapons to be in DA2.andar91 wrote...

That would be... odd. It would look horrible to mix slashing and stabbing weapons under the same skill tree. There would be much smacking upside the head with a wooden shaft.
