A Keep to keep stuff? I mean a real keep, not just a chest outside of a keep.

I remember the whole 'Keep' conversation back when DAO was still being kinda sorta developed and the devs commented that a keep may be something they look at in the future.  I would hope that Soldier's Peak wasn't what they were referring to.  You clear it out and you can't even do anything with it, and then you're stuck with some weird guys in the yard guarding a chest that is apparently yours, even though you have a whole keep behind it that can't be accessed.

Devs, will there be a REAL keep this time?

Like the strongholds in BG2, with related quests, it would be awesome.

But games need to evolve, therefore all the welcomed features must go.

Even the NWN2 keep idea was kinda neat--- AND it gave you something to spend your money on.

I'm thinking refugee, yes, but there has to be a vacant keep somewhere in the Free Marches, right?

Isn't Hawke's story all about gaining power?

More like gaining keeps, amirite?

Hawke: "Listen, do you know how far I've travelled? Have you ever been followed by an autistic dwarf who says nothing but 'enchantment' at every question?"

Keep owner: "Well, no..."

Hawke: "I didn't come all this way to camp in the rubarb every night. I'm a hero, dammit!"

Keep owner: "I see..."

Hawke: "That's a nice keep you got there."

Former keep owner: "Yes, yes it is, would you... like a tour?"

Hawke: "Thought you'd never ask."
