A Werewolf guy, who can turn into a werewolf and back (being an ability), BUT he must wear a shirt!
Mage:
A Vampire girl (vampires would be a good add to Dragon Age) with blood magic on high level.
Rogue:
Should be a short guy, almost as short as a dwarf, but talk a lot and act like he owns everything.

- A goofy but bad ass male warrior, source of much comic relief. The good natured bruiser.
- A good natured female, not a warrior, but powerful in her own field. Also very cute.
- A lecherous, swooshy male rogue. Refuses to take anything seriously. A serial flirt.
- A more cool headed veteran character, that can serve as an advisor as needed. Can be of any class and any gender.
- The charismatic and straight laced "male lead" for the lady gamers. Warrior, but might also be a wizard. Good looks must, hopefully not too boring.
- The "alien" and "unknown" type. A character who serves as a expositor to his/her own culture. The exotic team mate. Comic relief & romance potential optional.
...what?

I like the Qunari woman who wants to be a warrior
Dwarf inventor (shout-out to Jan Jansen)
A male mage (elf or human, just because both mages you can get in DA:O are female)
A female tank fighter

Whats the other half you ask.
Also ranger.
Now I know what your thinking, That's twice the maximum amount of ranger the human body can hold.
But its okay he/she's only only half human.
Now I know what your thinking Dear Lord, it's four times now! He's multiplying!
Well you'll have to excuse Red Mage. He has his good days and his bad.

alisters son(the prince)joins your team
your son joins your team.
morrigan joins your crew again.
you should be able to find a griffon and get to ride it.
duncan has a secret daughter and you get uncover his family history.
you have an ancester from centries ago and he was a black warden(evil).
and better character customisation.

Edit: A Griffon or another animal companion instead of Dog would rock!

- a talking hurlock, warrior, uses two handed weapons and is on a desperate search for darkspawn women who aren't fat, ugly and asexual.
- a female mage apprentice who escaped the tower by seducing some stupid templar and using her good swim skills.
- some young guy who always dreams about glorious battles (like cailan). he thinks shields and armors are cowardly and fights with robes and two handed weapons.
- some old veteran who is friggin anoyed by the young guy. uses shields and massive armors
- some templar who has a crush on the female mage apprentice.

- Says he has options to fight with a better group.
- Before battle embarasses everyone by name-calling the enemy
- Yells in complete fear during battle

Age: 22
Dwarven Mage
Born from a mother infected by the darkspawn taint and a lyrium miner for a father, he began to exhibit strange abilities at a young age and because he was so different he became feared by the other dwarves and was sent to the Deep Roads as a child. His exile to the deep roads did not kill him however, down there he was found by a Grey Warden and taken above the surface. The Grey Warden was not aware of his affinity to magic however and rather than sending him to the circle, young Nordhen was adopted by a family of farmers in the Free Marshes. After being discovered to exhibit certain magical abilities by a group of passing templars, he was about to be taken to the circle when he lost control of his powers and killed the templars. Now an apostate and branded a malificar, he was forced to remain on the run and hidden from sight. For nobody had ever seen or heard of a dwarven mage before and if he was discovered he would surely be the victim of experiment rather than death.
Hawke finds Nordhen in an old temple that is the tomb of an ancient dwarven caste rumored to possess magical abilities.
