Stop with the mindless "whining" accusations.
People have a right to voice their concerns, many of us oldtimers like fantasy games and since Bioware made a big deal about DA was the spiritual successor of BG I would say it makes sense to complain about being stuck as one character.
Also I see most of the people not wanting people to "whine" are people that have ME, so they obviously would like something like this one-dimensional garbage.
small correction..you mean ME2...
ME1 was a great start...but instead of FIXING what didn't quite work and/or was clumsy/clunky and EXPANDING on it...they STRIPPED it out entirely (and as a side note I find it hilarious the "defenders" claim it's "streamlining"...idiotic)...turning the ME series into Gears of Mass Effect War: Choose your own Shepard Adventure.
but otherwise...yep..this exactly...
because even with what little we DO know..it certainly is aweful similar to when ME2's "enhancements" were being released....

Yeah yesterday I was completely up in arms. Today I'm a little more relaxed. My main concern is still having DA:O be relevant, but I'm finding ways that the dialogue wheel could work (if they implement it correctly).

The world is changing, I feel it in the earth, I feel it in the water, I smell it in the air. Much that once was is now
forgotten; for none now live who remember it.
It began with the making of the great games: Three of Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights were given to the oldschool RPG-fans, the most dedicated and loyal of all beings. Two of Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire were given to the new generation of RPG fans, great gamers and players of the new era. And Two were passed to the race of men, who above all else desire power and were thus given Mass Effect.
The oldschool RPG-fans rejoiced upon the release of Dragon Age: Origins and as did all the other races.
...But they were all of them decieved for another game was made: in the halls of Bioware, in the fires of Internet Hate, the dark lord Gaider forged, in secret, a master game to control all others. And into this game he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life....This game was Dragon Age 2
Had to copy this over, it was too good not to share

That would be a much more productive activity than what you are attempting to do at the current moment.
I'd venture to say that you're quite a minority in that view. But of course, you are entitled to it.17thknight wrote...

The dialogue wheel is one of the worst elements of Mass Effect, and I say that as a fan of the series. Not knowing what your character will say is terrible. Not knowing how they will react is terrible. KNowing that "Upper right = good" and "Lower right = bad" and "Left = generic and meaningless" absolutely destroys any immersion in the conversations. You simply steer the character to "paragon or renegade" as you see fit, never really knowing what Shepard is going to say, and completely disengaged from the conversations as a result.
The wheel is awful.

Your bitternes at the new game is apparent here.

Why does everyone who doesn't have a problem with the game insist on turning into such children and throwing tantrums every time someone doesn't like something that they are changing?

Follow the advice in my SIg.
TO defeat all when everyone can only use words.
You must learn.
The game will turn out fine they are saving the good stuff for mags adn other people to sell things to us so we may hear about it.
We will all change our minds soon enough.

Everyone does that? Come on...
People on both sides start sniping at each other because conversations about these games get personal. Insults get thrown, loaded terms get tossed around. It's unfortunate but in my experience it's kind of inevitable (in fact, it wasn't too long ago that a franchise I loved changed dramatically, and I was on the side that hated the changes).
