Worthless troll, mass effect is on console and that game rocks.
You map travel in mass effect witch fits the game. It does not fit dragon age(i just wanted to point that out)
I dont see why this is trolling? Many games have suffered from also being developed for the console, in particular in regards to controls (the KOTR series springs to mind).
Luckily Dragon Age does not seem to have suffered at all, but i was certainly worried prior to its release.
It's not... don't worry about it... for some people Troll is the only word they can spell.

* After the awful promo videos, the actual game is surprisingly mature with a nice level of brutality and a feeling that life is pretty cheap in Ferelden
* Some nice character interaction
* The best combat in a Bio game since the BG series.
Cons
* Some consolitis (eg the inventory system)
* The same old Bio story structure they've employed since KOTOR
* Graphics inferior to other CRPG titles released earlier (eg Mass Effect, Witcher) - for example, the water looks awful in this game - I'm sure even Morrowind had better water than this.

Open world like Oblivion is boring and I always used quick-travel when it became available.
I agree and i did to but its the fact you know you can if you want. Its not as much the map travel i hate as the fact that when you get on a map you cant move freely on it. I see water but i cant jump down in it. Or i see a tree but i cant walk around it? things like this take the real feelings away from you.
So just logout and play oblivion. This game is not going to waste time with mindless wandering around and staring at the ground. IMO Oblivion is one of the worst games EVER made. Morrowind is hands down 1K times better. However there seems to be a large player base that likes to just wander around and look at trees and dirt.

Story, dialogue, interparty banter, characters, setting, etc.
Not Oblivion
Not Fallout 3
Cons:
Some annoying little bugs and whatnot making it into the final version of the game.
Combat system is a bit...simpler than I would have liked
Random-tiered "special" items are kinda annoying.
Lack of armor appearance. Not to mention robe appearance. And many of the helmets are just ugly.

Forced down too many paths which you can see coming. From walking through a forest, then a lane, then down a specific passage in some ruins, too how characters join your group.
A bit cliché and a bit shallow in the characters, settings and plot.
The personalities don't go much further than "a bit mad" or "a bit stern".
Not enough humour.
I've p*ssed you off so here have a bottle of wine relationships.
You can find the other side of the coin in a good book or good film so why not here? I don't know if the higher quality staff left after the BG's but all the games since have not managed to put it together nearly as well.
Broken bits and pieces that can affect your intended builds.
Pro:
One of the best games I have played in a long time.
Please employ some new creative writers in your next game. People with mixed interests in psychology, sociology, philosophy and alternative story telling.

The story is pretty interesting, for the most part. I especially like the "doing the right thing, the wrong way" type options.
Interesting and varied quests, certainly better than Mass Effect's with regard to the side quests.
The party character banter, and the in camp interactions with the dog rarely fall flat.
The combat is solid, for the most part. I found it challenging but satisfying.
Animations and voice work are done well.
The world building that's been done is pretty much gold. Its not a highly original setting by any means but it is well realised and and executed.
Con:
The environment graphics are awful, for the most part. Considering the amount of doors that you walk through, it would be nice to get a texture for that, instead of a splodge. And the forest at Ostagar is just terrible.
The Bioware story structure, intact from its appearance in KOTOR and still with us today, is wearing a little thin. Kudos for trying to make it look like there were 5 main quest areas by splitting up the Arl, Urn quest almost into two, but I wasn't fooled.
The main character leaves me completely cold, and as he's supposed to be me that's pretty bad. He just stands there, silent and gormless in every scene while people are being animated in an interesting fashion around him. The best conversations in the game occur when I'm not there, and that just isn't right.
I personally preferred Mass Effect's dialogue system, where you selected the tone and intent of your half of the conversation, rather than actual wording. Its difficult to tell until the other person reacts whether the line is joking, sarcastic, or deadly serious.
Overall, a good game, not a bad one, but the lengthy development time shows through in almost every respect. If I didn't know better I certainly wouldn't think that it had come out a year and a half after Mass Effect, from the same company. It leaves me with the odd feeling that it is showing it's age, which just isn't right for a new game. Certainly a solid foundation, but I want more of Mass Effect's polish on the next one.

1) Too few monsters. What i mean is there isnt enough variety. Its either Darkspawn,Demons or Bandits/Highwaymen.Gets monotonous after a while seeing the same enemy's
2) They areas seem kinda closed there isnt much reason for exploreing.
3) I am sorta disapointed with the game kinda thought it would be like NWN 1 and 2 but with better graphics and even more gameplay and bigger world.
4) Spells,i really thought there would be alot of spells. I miss Magic Missle
5) Friendly fire when it comes to spells. I really despise this so much. wish there was a way to turn it off. i have to skip all spells that do friendly fire.
6) i hate i so hate Logain wish i could stick a Sword up his boink!!
7) i hate the Fade i feel sorry for the mages
Pro's
Love the Characters, Morrigan is my favorite
Overall the game is cool, just wish there was alot more. But i do understand ya have to deal with publisher timelines
I rate the game a 9/10.

Actually that is explained in the game. The mages wife insisted that he be chiselled smaller so he did not break the doorways entering the house. He is rather bitter about it indeed.

Con: More areas on the map, ruins, temples, castles, dungeons, caves, Landmarks that are non-related to the story that you can visit whenever you want, filled with friends and foes alike!
Hoping for more wonderful Companions in the next DLC!

The ****ing loading screen. i'd say 10% of the game is staring at the loading screen. every time you go into a different screen, it's 30 - 60 seconds of loading.

I believe they did this because of issues with clipping and such. However, they do explain this in game if you pay attention to Shales dialouge. Won't post spoilers, but it is explained.

Story is good, runs flawlessly on my 2 year old system, gear is fun and cool to acquire.
Con:
Loot delay on mobs, too many Fing load screens, and the achievements add nothing to the game like they did in Mass Effect.
Also the loading getting longer the longer you play....becomes an issue when you play 10+ hours in a day.
Overall: Decent game. Mass Effect was better functionally.

Firstly, I'll say it is a great game, a nice roleplay setting, a shame you can't jump... but anyway the tactics system is a first for me so I'm still adapting, being used to the Bethesda variety of RPGs.
Is it just me or can you only get 1 bonus item? I entered codes for the mage band and the lion's claw and only have access to the Lion Claw boots.
