This is a big concern of mine. You see I had to erase my Origin files in order to have space to import them.
So like, I hope if you have an awkening file, you can just transfer awakening, without needing to transfer Origins.

Well I haven't finished Awakening yet, but I heard it has no endgame save like DA:O.
As a totally wild but not baseless assumption to deny for the whiner-bashers: Maybe it won't transfer.

Origins events had a very minimalistic impact on Awakening as the only things I remember carrying on are your choice for sovereign and your origin. It is very unlikely that everything possibly used in DA2 would be carried from Awakening saves.
I noticed though you are referring to an Xbox copy of the game though, as I was a little perplexed as to why you would need to clear space. If I might offer a suggestion, there are rather cheap 256MB memory cards. I'd suggest go get one and store your saves to prevent this from happening in the future, and prevent for anything such as a your console getting ruined.
