the ME2 system being used for dragon age in future games
what If Hawke is a long term character idea?
Where does everyone see the series going?

I see Hawke lasting a trilogy at most, two games being my wish because despite me enjoying playing Mages and all I still miss playing as a Dwarf.
Dwarves > Humans > Elves
I hate Elves.

Elves cornered themselves into what is basically concentration camps.
It's not our fault that these races blow butt chunks.

The same path as Mass Effect to be honest. Have a few games featuring Hawke and if the DA series remains very successful they'll keep open the option of future iteerations without Hawke.

I honestly see hawk as a long term choice as well,
im not to happy about that. I kinda agree with you on bioware using Hawke for a trilogy.
I would like to see Other races along with the orgins returning at some point.
Just because IMO that formula works for a good fantasy game

I don't think this'll happen. I think each Dragon Age game will be its own story, and will flesh out different parts of the DA Lore. The writers will want to set stories in different parts of the world they created, after all. They spent years just coming up with an entire world of countries, cultures, beliefs, languages, histories, etc.10 Steps Back wrote...

Eh. It could work. But I don't think the dialogue wheel from ME2 really fits with the Dragon Age theme, though. It seems to advanced. Makes me think of the sci-fi setting of ME.

Two very differen't gametypes and content requirements.Livemmo wrote...
yes ea should release one with minor improvements every year like they do madden.
the reason there are an annual FIFA and Madden is due to new lineups, contracts and fixtures. Dragon Age has no such things.

QFT.
Also, while we're comparing races...
Humans > Elves > Dwarves.
I hate Dwarves and their clipping beards.

I am fairly certain that each game will be its own unique self-contained story. Mr. Gaider and devs have said as much on the forums when we were speculating about DA2 prior to DA being released -- that there is a lot of detail in the world of Thedas, with many big bads, conflicts, continents, and stories to tell. So no, I think each DA sequel will be something unique and a one-shot.

WTF are you talking about? Having each game feature a new protagonist and setting adds to the longevity of the franchise.Xondio wrote...
If Dragonage 2 had picked up after Dragonage 1, then yes, it could go on for a while. This series should end after DragonAge 2.

Exactly. And, it'll (probably) be for the best. Let the previous saved games "colour" each new game, but move it around, develop new areas, explore new issues, bring out and bring back NPCs strategically to further a grand overarching storyline that is greater than just the experiences of one PC (and his or her clique of friends)..

That sounds awesome!! Very much the impression I got of the series, and one of the reasons I was excited about it last year. I think that is the direction Bioware is taking, so I am actually pretty excited about this game.

I hate to break it to you... but videogames aren't real... and nothing will be broken, stop being so closeminded and wake up. start consentrating on the similarities instead of pissing the rest of us off with this QQ fest. The combat returns unchanges, the land, universe and story of the gameworld is still the same. it's all there... even some old hag we all find mysterious.Juztinb42 wrote...
DA will be ruined by big business so badly that by the time it's over, not even the Maker will be able to save it.
why are you all so pessimistic when there are so many good news to look at under those ASSUMED bad, earthshattering points. so far, all that "GAEM IS TEH BROAK!" is based on wild conclusions and insane speculation... those i just typed out are confirmed. yours are not! wake up!
