I loved the first game, but there's no getting away from the fact that the frame rate chugged like a pig at times...sometimes the stutter was so bad that it impacted on the flow of the gameplay and was immersion breaking regularly.

Is there any news on the graphics engine in the 2nd game. Will it be much better optimised for PS3 than the "straight port" it felt like we got in the first game?

I've read that it has "new graphics". I just hope that means much smoother running graphics, rather than just shinier - although to be fair it didn't look that special either. It was the gameplay that made it special, I just hope they realise that this time around (on PS3 at least) it needs to be a big step up on the framerate...preferably in native 720p, not fuzzy upscaled 720p.

Also, is the PS3 version being done inhouse or outsourced like it was the first time around?

Just my thoughts.

I'd like to know this myself but you know what they say wait for the final product. Because PR rules state that even if the framerate has that straight port feeling no one will openly admit it especially those trying to sell you the game.

I'd love to see generally adequate graphics and framerate on PS3. DAO is one of the worst looking PS3 games. And don't even try to compare it with Uncharted 2 and such.

I honestly hope that the developers got the hand of the console and can now produce something at par with the other games in the platform.
