Hi,
I'm seeing some worrying reports on the net:
“Dragon Age 2 will simultaneously deliver an epic story and set a new bar for intense action in the genre.”

Who is Hawke? You'll have to get a hold of our latest issue if you want all of the details, but we can clarify five basic facts about the central character in Dragon Age II.

So I can't define my own character? It sounds as if DA2 is going the ME2 route of stripping out the roleplaying aspects. For ME2 that kinda made sense since the ME1 roleplaying IMHO was sub-par. But two of DAO's big draw was the traditional roleplaying and the tactical combat - and these were extremely well-done. I'm not seeing the same need to simplify the game that ME2 had.
Another thing is that I never felt the need to replay ME2, but I completed DAO three times (once as a warrior, twice as a mage) and I played each of the origin stories.
So, am I getting the wrong end of the stick here, or is DA2 losing what made DA2 special?
DragonAge 2 == Golden Axe?

There's a new DA 2 section in this forum if you want to see more about what's going on.
It will be different than DA:O and there are no origins for starters, but it doesn't mean it'll be like ME.

Sorry found that after I posted. The mods should probably move it.
It sounds very much like it'll be like ME2, but a fantasy version.
