Misc things that may help:
- Equip resist gear on your party (if its magic taking you down)
- Set your tactics so all of your party are fighting the same person (Enemy -> Ally Attacking -> Main Character)
The way to use the traps is to lock your party in place far back, set the traps halfway to the room, then get the enemies attention and lead them back over the traps. You're hoping to catch some of the melee in the traps and hold them down, while just 1 or 2 make it past. Kill those that make it past the traps, and continue to the rest.

Kewl, Morrigan has Winter's Grasp, Drain Life, disorient, Vulnerability Hex, Spider Shape, Horror, Mind Blast, Lightning, Frost Weapons, Herbalism, Bear Shape, Flying Swarm, Curse of Mortality, Affliction Hex. Alistar has Shield Pummel, Cleanse Area, Threaten, Precise Striking, Pommel Strike, Sunder Arms, Indomitable, Mighty Blow, Powerful Swings, Sunder Armor, Holy Smite. Sten has Two handed sweep, Perfect Striking, Sunder Arms, Powerful Swings, Threaten, Taunt, Critical Strike, Disengage, and Sunder Armor. PC only has Momentum, Riposte, Feign Death, Poison, Herbalism, Traps, and Stealth. Exactly what do you mean a 2Her and shield/sword tank?
well you kind of answered your own question. They're exploiting your weakness so exploit theirs. Sten is a glass cannon. Kill him first. Enter the room and hit Morrigan with a holy smite. Draw them out to the hallway and gang up on Sten. Lay two traps so they take moderate damage to make it to you. Don't attack with anyone accept Morrigan. Let her get hit once and then use mind blast. Have her transform into a flying swarm so she has aggro but they can only drain her mana. Pop a lesser health potion on her before she transforms so she doesn't die from the next one or two hits they'll be able to get on her. Have Allistair use sunder armor and Sten use sunder arms on Sten. He'll probably die after that. Immediately have your PC use dirty fighting then riposte on your PC while Sten and Alliistair are doing that because he's going to try and do that to sten or allistar and that would be detrimental. As soon as Sten is down have Sten use mighty blow on your PC and have Allistair start tanking Allistair. At this point Morrigan will be back to her own form with no mana. Immediately down a mana pot and have her help your PC and Sten take out Morrigan. Vulnerabiliy hex, winter's grasp, drain life. This will be enough initial damage so that sten and your PC take out Morrigan with incredible ease. Now shapeshift morrigan into a bear and have her attack Allistair.
This fight shouldn't be that hard if you micromanage. You have the benefit of telling your party members to attack based on what you know about your party. Meanwhile your enemy is going to attack anyone with the highest aggro rating. It seems like that's Sten for you so have him use disengage and Morrigan start the attack and switch into flying swarm to make that not happen. And use their own strategy against them.

Are you sure you can't tackle another area first and then come back later?
What if you tackle it solo. Would it be easier if you are fighting just yourself?

Well, you can believe me or the walkthrough. Go do Brecilian Forest, maybe Orzammar, then come back.
Many walkthroughs are wrong.

last game I had dog sick on wynn. His overwhelm makes short work of casters.
Then took out myself as myself always does the most dps. But it's easy to take out yourself with yourself.
If you max your character out, this should pose no problem. By max I mean powergame.

I tend to do it in this order after Loathing: Tower, Forest, (DLC if you have them), Redcliff, Part of Orzammar, than the Urn. Between diffrent parts I'm running from Dem and other side quest.
What the person hasn't told us is what level is he doing this. Areas do scale to your level, but some times that makes them harder at lower levels cause you don't have the damage you can do at upper levels. I only had problems on my first play through with my mage, now on my 5th playthrough I blow through this like nothing playing on Normal on PC.
Also the golden rule when you come to a hard part....go do anouther area and return when you level up some more or get better gear. I with my last play through with my Dwarven Warrior and this one with my Delish Rogue I been playing with no healer/mages. I make alot of potions before I leave, but finding I'm not useing them as much....well Alister tends to alot cause he's my tank.
