Over the last few months I have been creating new mesh files (in Blender) based on
the male versions of the mod "a little leg" which can be found on the DA
Nexus.
Basically I replaced parts of the meshes of that mod with different ones
that I used for my undressed men (so that their bodies won't seem so
drastically different with and without clothes). When it came to
texturing I simply took the texture files in that mod and replaced the parts that
were meant for the flesh with different ones (copy paste in photoshop
with the dds addon).
However my current project, while similar in nature, is all my own. I
made a more revealing version of the male enchanter robes. The mesh
worked out fine, but when I began to make a texture for it things began
to fall apart. At first I made all new textures by combining the body
texture I wanted and the "high detail" version of the base textures in
the toolset. It worked fine while in Blender. However, when I came to watch the mod in the game I found
to my surprise that the textures I made were of low detail... All the
game was in high detail except for the enchanter robes...
Next I tried to use the textures that the guy who originally made the "a
little leg" mod created and pasted the high detail textures from the
toolset on it. This time the result was indeed high detail, but
strangely one could actually see the detail of the old textures through
the new ones (the details of the sleeves of the apprentice robes - which
were the texture I pasted on - could be seen faintly, but clearly,
through the new sleeves of the enchanter robes - or more accurately
through the arms, as if they were faded tattoos or something).
Next I tried to take the original high detail enchanter robes texture
and with "expand canvas" paste alongside them the body texture.
Unfortunately when I did that the game ignore completely the body
textures which resulted in great big gaping holes in the characters'
bodies.
I have no idea how to proceed, so if anyone can help I'd be very thankful!
