What if each class is its own Origin?

In DAO only the mage class had its own origin. The others made no difference whether you were a warrior or rogue. So since Hawke is the set character we play as what if his story has a different beginning depending on what class you choose? This not only adds more replay value but it also makes sense. Obviously mage Hawke learned his abilities and had to deal with being an apostate, potentially hunted by Templars. Warrior and Rogue Hawke could be more about how he survived after escaping Lothering. Warrior Hawke just went around kicking people's asses and Rogue Hawke could have been a thief. Just ideas to demonstrate how they could be different.

Good point. Since you can be a mage, would Hawke be an apostate when he escapes Lothering?

Or maybe he just survives a battle earlier and finds Lothering then it is attacked?

Great idea. Gives the origin-wanting people some of what they want and gives me and others the acknowledgement of our class.

I agree. I was kind of thinking about that and figured it would be more of an "Origins of Hawke" kind of story, depending on what class you choose. I was thinking also that if the game spans 10 years, we may even see Hawke as a child or young person where s/he is just finding out they have magical abilities.

I've been thinking about something like this myself, and I 100% agree, it would be a very cool idea and a nice continuation to the origins of the first game. :)

It would be interesting to see Hawk as a apostate, basically as your parents were killed by darkspawn and in all the chaos of the Blight no one was there to notice your talent and inform Chantry. Hiding your skills from public and avoiding templars would really be interesting also maybe in the start you could forge an alliance with a demon for power in return for a future debt.

And at the end of the game it consumes your soul. I like it!Posted Image

Or giving you a choice to kill one of your companions (one with whome you have highest relation) or he will take your soul.

Or hell stealing the old gods power and making it your own. Just the thing you mentioned above included as well. Posted Image

Or maybe you sail across the sea in pursuit of the demon until you reach the ends of the earth and the sea begins to coalescue into sand, and you find the demon and speak its name, and know that it is part of yourself. Then you travel back to the lands of the living and become the Archmage.

And your name is Sparrow.

So... I'll just go ahead and ask.
Why should different classes have different origins?
Serious question not trying to argue, I'm curious as to the reason everyone loves the idea.

A point to consider:
Everyone keeps assuming that MageHawke has to be hunted by the circle and the chantry.
He doesn't live in Ferelden. He did. Likely when he was younger. But not anymore. Why would the authorities of Ferelden have any interest in someone who is not in Ferelden?

I mean I get that people want choice and control and customization but I don't get why that has to mean different origins. After the Origin campaigns in DA:O it was a pretty linear story with very few choices that had any impact on the overall story.
Wouldn't cutting the variable origins free up resources to include more big-impact choices to the rest of the game?

Maybe Hawke was good at hiding his powers. He never uses them until the darkspawn attack Lothering, which he escapes with fire and flame. Unfortunately for him, perhaps some templars witness this event, and he decides to leave Ferelden altogether to escape the templar's as well as the Blight.

You could have the same basic setup, but with a few caveats depending on your class that gives you some additional incentive to leave Ferelden.
