I'm just reiterating a thousand other people here, and I hate myself for it, but I just don't understand why we've all come to universally despise the human body. If it's shown gratuitously like some thirteen year-old's fantasy then, yeah, I guess I understand why some would oppose. But I give Bioware a little more credit for that, and I think just about anything is better than that ridiculous man-diaper underwear dryhumping thing they had going on in Origins. Anything.

I'd rather have no sex than gratuitously nude romance scenes--ME handled it very well, I think. DAO could have benefited from camera shots that didn't actually reveal they were wearing underwear the whole time. I'm pretty sure the reason the scenes were shot with underwear is so BioWare didn't get any flak for putting nude body models in their game directly accessible through the toolset. No, they're smart enough to know we'd make them within the hour the game came out.

I'm fine with sex scenes, so long as they're tasteful. Why do we need full-frontal breasts? We don't. The scene is still there without it.

Bioware currently has the "Dark Knight" problem. They take there games ridiculously seriously, while ridiculous elements are in place. It simply doesn't work at times, especially for Mass Effect. It's like a pretentious comic book attempting to hit above it's weight.

People love and praised Hitler. Doesn't count for much. Lord Of The Rings was serous, it balanced humor with annoying Hobbits, an annoying  Dwarf and an annoying talking tree, it worked excellently. The people in Mass Effect probably don't even fart.

You know, you're awfully concerned with seeing pixel and polygon nudity. The game absolutely doesn't need it; it makes a lot of people uncomfortable, it almost always brings the game down a few notches in "maturity" (not the fake kind), and it nets that abhorrent AO rating.

I would simply prefer to see better done romance scenes, if they're done at all. In cases like Isabela or Cammen and Gheyna, I don't think we need to see the scene in question. For roleplaying purposes, nothing is gained by seeing it. In a romance, seeing the romance scene is a payoff. No full-frontal needed.

If it's there, it better be done right.
