Out of all the love scenes I've seen from Bioware, or really any other game, I'm most satisfied with Mass Effect 1. It was tastefully done, except for the dialogue afterward

"Joker needs you on the bridge, commander."

What a mood killer, Kaidan... seriously.

I would rather have implied nudity through the use of creative camera angles than blatantly showing the two lovers doing it in their underwear.

Plus, is it just me or was it super-jarring (not to mention more than a little creepy) when the LI rolls over and looks up, and a fully-dressed Shepard is just standing there staring at them? It's like...how much time has passed? Is it the next morning? Did he jump out of bed the instant he climaxed and throw on his clothes?

I've noticed he has a worried look on his face afterwards, like he committed a crime or something.

I'm sure they didn't, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a huge WTF moment.

you know, given the right characters, they don't even have to have a love scene. some of the best romance scenes in some movies is just a kiss. its all the building up to it. it would work if they both 'had a thing' but wouldn't really admit it or just kept getting interrupted- till something tipped the scale.

(oh Internets will hang me. Sex scene NAO. naked!)

It's true. I don't remember who originally said it, but I always liked the quote "It is far more erotic to wonder if you are about to be kissed than to be kissed."

And of the DAO scenes, I think the Morrigan DR one was the best, and it showed the least. The touch with blowing out the candle at the end was nice. The only thing I didn't like it was the frightened look on her partner's face...I mean maybe that's appropriate for Alistair or even perhaps Loghain, but that's not at ALL how my character would look. He was totally smitten with her, and it would be a very emotional moment, considering he knows he's going to lose her either way...not at all a "WHOA HO HO WHAT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN HERE?!" moment.

Wow, I guess not everyone uses the computer to masturbate.  I totally agree with you guys.  Why not actually focus on the romantic aspect of the relationship?  Other than coitis.

That is why I liked "some" of the ME2 romances.  It just seems a bit more sincere with the relationships.

Gawd now I feel like a girl.

I can agree with this. I don't really have a problem with the scenes in Dragon Age I think they were perfectly fine, but you need to mod in nudity to make them really work. Otherwise it's just...odd.

I'm sure DA2 will be fine, as long as they don't cut them out entirely or something to try and broaden the appeal of the game or some kind of silliness. But considering how massively successful DA is I don't think they would find that necessary.

Unfortunately that just turns it into porn, in my opinion.

I tried it once, and the first thing I see is my Warden's huge erect dong staring at me.

It's like "whoa, okay, I don't need to know EVERYTHING about my character."

They sort of brought it on themselves...they only had to use the granny underwear because if it wasn't there it would have shown WAY too much. So instead of showing less, they slapped undies on it.

hahahah awwww men all have a soft side. bioware just need to know where to prod.

the kiss or whatever it is, really needs to be a emotional/rewarding payoff. if players aernt going to have a 'love-scene' compared to protaganist& X, then it has to be really good or else players will feel cheated.

oh and did someone say. romance theme song? :D ;D? (do it for me bioware!)
And i said earlier Planet terror. its actually graphic- in that you know what their doing. but you cant really 'see' any bits. sort of like ME1. and its quite short. the reason i suggested it...
