I didn't mind the scenes in DA:O actually.  Disappointed they weren't as .. smooth as ME1's though.

Actually that would be a good idea for bioware to have a camp fire love scene with shadows involved while you see the characters holding and kissing . I think it would be tasteful and better than seeing Underwear and white panties. In the long run. You could use the characters shadows as the basic form of showing positions and then use the face and hands on parts of the back for massaging.  Getting any ideas bioware?.

Given that the second Podcast reiterated the fact that despite the new Stylistic Art direction Dragon Age is going for a "Grittier" atmosphere then DAO it lends to the possibility that the DA2 Love Scenes will be a step up from what we got in DAO.

We know that the ridiculous nature of the DAO Love Scene had more to do with time and engine constraints then anything else; despite the great work of some Modders to upgrade the DAO Love Scenes, graphically they still leave something to be desired. With the updated graphics for DA2 I think we might get something a bit more stylish and risque, that is if they don't decide to go with the whole Tapestry element (i.e. what we see in the Intros for both DAO and Awakening) that is supposed to break up the larger chapters in the game.  

Truthfully, I found the Love Scenes in ME1 more enjoyable then what we recieved in ME2; BioWare managed to make the scenes steamy and erotic without making it into a low-key Porn scene or something you might have witnessed on Spartacus: Blood and Sand or Rome. I love the idea of seeing our Hero in the romantic embrace of their Love Interest, with passion aplenty. Regardless, what-ever BioWare decides I'm sure it will be a step up from DAO visually. Yes, I'm sure they've got a extra eye open towards the Fox News Nut-Jobs, but they managed to dance around them with ME2, and Fox only made a stink about the Same Sex love scenes in DAO, so we know it's possible.

Dragon Age's love scenes were terrible. And by terrible I mean bad to the point of being unintentionally funny. I don't think the people that made them have actually ever had sex.
 
It isn't that the characters weren't nude, it's that the entire scene they were rolling around in their underwear or posing in silly positions and then the post-coital chit chat is done in full battle armor. Hopefully the love scenes in the sequel are a little bit more cinematic in quality, and if they choose not to show the naughty  bits, to do it in a fashion that doesn't interfere with suspension of disbelief. At the very least use camera angles that suggest nudity even if you aren't going to show it.

The love scenes in the Mass Effect series were much better, IMO. In both of those games the scenes could easily have been  scenes from a movie or a TV show. Dragon Age's love scenes seemed more like a really poor imitation of a Calvin Klein commercial. All that was missing was a pretentious voice over.

My only problem with the love scenes was the sort of half-commitment. I'd say either go all the way to avoid looking rediculous with underwear on, or just do the "before it happened" things. I'm not saying i should have full on nudity. More like any movie with a good romance scene that doesn't make you feel awkward

Dude! What's wrong with 'Raw and uncut'? DRAGON AGE ORIGIONS was originally going to be full blown nudity but the censors begged to differ so we wind with with undies on sex scenes which I do admit i find hot (in a way) but I rather see full blown nudity. I am tired of playing games with uncensored violence so I feel we should have uncensored nudity as well. Also I agree with someones post in seeing and doing threesomes or foursomes. I am not sure about rape, bondage, or gangabngs though. I think they should play it how they played it in 1 were sex with people like Leliana is meaningful because your character loves Leliana and not because you want to pull a Jack on her and shag her as a one time thing.

PS: Ok I do not want to see two guys get it on and I am sure people can argue for the other way around but if girls want to see guy on guy action more power to them. I am straight so i never went guy on severn and don't plan on EVER doing that.

Actually, that just about ties in to his Batmanness.  Look at just how bad Batman is at having a real social life.  The only time I think it's been confirmed he's ever had sex was with Talia.  Prior to that I'd seen a lot of jokes about him still being a virgin, despite the whole billionare playboy thing.

Not that I'm suggesting DA2 should go all Witcher, but I really liked those collectable cards. Firstly, they were like erotic art, not character models whose facial expressions and bare shoulders don't really get the right mood across (IMO). Also, The Witcher didn't bother trying to show you a sex scene. Sometimes suggestive is infinitely better. (Especially in a videogame.)



When you're about to get it on with ... um.... Flemeth? ... I'd like Dragon Age 2 to cut to like a concept art video thing - like the introduction video of DAO - with hand drawn ... something suggestive?





Also, I heard that Geralt is a lot less promiscuous in The Witcher 2. I liked the promiscuity. It went hand in hand with the sterility/sense of desperation thing, for me anyway.
