Not that I'm suggesting DA2 should go all Witcher, but I really liked those collectable cards.

People have mentioned this, and it's a YMMV thing. Personally, I hate it. Hate it. What girl throws her panties at the guy who pointed out a mud puddle or something? It's completely unrealistic, not to mention the utter objectifying nature of it. That women may be "collected". Literally turned into trophies to be counted. It never once came off as "mature" to me (and I'm still playing the game at the moment). It felt like something from a middle schooler's gross little fantasy.

I'm a guy, and I thought the cards were kinda stupid.
I don't so much care about the way it presents women, and don't misinterpret that. I just mean that I didnt see the cards and then say "Oh my god, how dare they disrespect women in such a fashion!" and then proceed charging off to find CD Projekt to challenge them to a duel.

But the cards were just dumb. Something to appeal to pubescent 12 year old boys. I got bored of the witcher and never finished it. The cards were just whatever.
But in a game like dragon age, something as stupid would just detract from the immersion.

The cards were just a chance to show off some skin and a cheap alternative to cut scenes imo.

I agree, the Dragon Age love scenes was not very well done at all – too much going on. The ones in the first Mass Effect were a lot better – subtlety is the way to go.

I keep saying this on these boards. ME1 did romance scenes better than DA:O or ME2. Way better.

They were okay in ME2. Actually I only ever did Miranda's, so I cant speak for the others. Australian accents are freakin hot man. I always joke that I am going to move to australia to find a wife.
But yes.

Dear BioWare,

No cheese plz. Kthx.

Garrus: Garrus is shy and screws up his pick up lines, Shepard says shut up and then they hold their hands and put their foreheads together. Fade to black.

Thane: Thane starts crying and Shepard says "Be alive with me tonight." and it fades to black.

Jacob: But the prrriiiizzeee...

Tali: You remove Tali's masks and then she pounces you. Fade to black.

Jack: You have sex while Jack is crying. It's pretty creepy.

Yeah I don't want to see dry humping to ridiculously cheesy music. Especially between two women; I just laughed at Leliana's love scene.

How about we just ditch it and have after talk?

The point of blatant nudity being...?

There isn't any--I think they should have found camera angles that didn't show that the characters were wearing underwear.

This scene without clothes with those angles probably could've worked.

DA:O's sex scenes were cheesy indeed. ME1's were much better, the the couple are actually nude. I'm not a perv, but seriously, who has sex with their underwear on?

What's the point of violence?
you're not trying to tell me that violence is better to show than nudity?  thought so.

The point of violence? Because it's hard to avoid fighting for your life, battling for freedom, power, or control when the camera won't show what you're doing.

Whereas blatant nudity doesn't need to be there for any other reason than to be sexually explicit. I don't object to sex scenes, which is a part of a relationship.

Besides, if I have to pick between seeing blood pumped out of jugulars in HD detail or graphic sex, I pick the blood. So do the censors.

It's because video games aren't regarded as a source of media and actually looked upon my society as a toy for children. I've been called out multiple times when I was online for "being too old" to be gaming.

I'm only eightteen, damn it.

@Dave

Thats silly. The Video Game demographic is rapidly changing, rapidly growing.

72% of americans play some type of video games.
And more than half of online gamers are 18 or over.

You sure you werent playing Hello Kitty: Island Adventure?

I might be offended if you could type coherently. But we already went over this, didn't we?

I don't suppose you'd understand this, but, again, sex only needs to be there to be graphic--I don't object to the scenes themselves, but why must they be porn? They needn't be.

Oh, and, in America, DA is rated 17 and up.

pffhh, me too, and im not even eightteen (give me my five days dammit). but i always thought those were just 40-year-old working class guys that think the only right way to live youre life is working all the time until you fall dead... and, come on if a game is rated "18" an non-18 cant get it (unless of course he can download stuff or has a mother that just signs everything coming from amazon :police:), and if you can you can also get hardcore porn. isnt that something thats clear to the society by now??

As long as its well done I dont care either way. I'm mature enough to handle nudity, it doesnt bother me... All I care is that the end product is believeable, and the nudity isnt... pedantic, i suppose.
