Which one do you think? They'll probably be released in the same time frame (early 2011) so which one do you think will be DA2's main rival? I say The Witcher 2.

Fable 2 was not even out for PC, I think Fable3 will neither, so for me, it is not at all a "rival"

The Witcher 2, considering how Witcher is more storydriven than Fable. Fable is more RPG-lite considering you've got nothing to do or say about the matter, you can only dance and kill people.

It's the only relevant game I could think of.

Neither as long as the Witcher doesn't make the jump to the consoles. Fable is... well, Fable... make of that what you will.

Fable 3 is more casual friendly, so I would assume it would have higher sales. Personally I'll end up getting all 3 at some point I'm sure, maybe not Fable if it flat out sucks, I havn't even heard anything about it before now.

Witcher 1 was supposed to go to consoles but they had to cancel that, they are planning for Witcher 2 to head out for consoles now.

What are you going on about? I am being serious, those are the relevant games at this time to be released or presume to release early 2011 and are going to have similar gameplay elements. DA2 combat is said to be more like the Witcher's or Fable this time round for example.

I'd say that the casual rpg player would more likely buy Fable 3 and the Hardcore rpg gamer would rather buy The Witcher 2. I really see Dragon Age 2 in an uncomfortable position in between, alas. That could really hurt the sales if Bioware actually decide to release DA 2 early 2011.
Besides, Deux Ex: Human revolution is also released in that time frame. It just might hurt the sales even more.

What a terrible idea of release date if you ask me.

It's a shame Rise of the White Wolf, as the console version was going to be called, didn't make it. I haven't heard anything about the second game coming to consoles, but I am unsure if I would get it after missing the first game.

Maybe it'll get delayed, heck DA:O was delayed for another 6 months.

Well yes, typo error. Will be recitfied.

I hope so, actually. As you said, many people might prefer an other of the hundred games coming  in Q1 2011 rathar than DA2.

It's meant to those who took 'my' post seriously

But in all seriousness, Fable 3 is not a revelent game, it is always going to be outsold by BioWare games being that BioWare is on all major platforms (PC , XBox 360, PS3) whereas Lionhead Studios is mostly XBox 360 and PC
