"Shrugs" Why have any rivalry? Buy them all if you like them. :D I am excited about The Witcher 2, DA2, ME3,. and New Vegas.. There is no competition. I plan on buying them all!

Glad to hear it but most people aren't that devoted and only buy a game every 3 months or so either because they lack the time to play the game or do not have the resources to do so.

It's a shame Rise of the White Wolf, as the console version was going to be called, didn't make it. I haven't heard anything about the second game coming to consoles, but I am unsure if I would get it after missing the first game.

Haven't played the first one myself, was really wanting to because of the praise I heard about it (I was dependant on a console version, though) Yet, the second one is apparently standalone and appears very entertaining.

there is no rivals, if two games comes out that you want, you buy both. the games are for adults so you should beable to handle the cash flow.

As I said to the other person, that option is not avaliable to every person so sales will matter in the end. Guess we'll see how well they present (Bioware) it.

I'd advise you to get it, the enhanced edition should be pretty cheap and I don't think you'd get the story without reading up on it or playing the previous game.

The release of The Witcher and DA2 near the same time might help to boost publicity and sales for both. They are both story driven RPG's, and I know I will be buying TW2 and maybe DA2 as well.

Ah. but you see? That is the beauty of it. They are not coming out all at the same time. Even if they did, they will still be there when you want them, Play at your leisure and affordablity. I have very serious doubts they will be pulled off the shelf any time soon.   :)

Although I enjoy the Fable games for what they are, they're hardly RPGs on the level of Bioware games. They're very simplified, charming, actiony games with a few RPG elements. I don't think the target demographic is the same at all, even though I will probably play both.

The Witcher 2 will, on the other hand, appeal to the same demographic, so it's probably DA2's main competition. However, DA2 will have more tactic combat (on the PC at least), and is presumably a party-based RPG, unlike TW2. They're suitably different, and Bioware always makes quality games, and has a loyal fanbase. But really, it's not like there's that many CRPGs being made these days. I imagine RPG fans will probably buy both.

If they fix having only 6 generic voice actors to voice most of the characters in the enviroment then yes it should be pretty sick but wrong topic.

Dungeon Siege III will have a stronger story then both TW2 & Fable. Obsidian have better writers then CDP and LH.

Alright must of misread a quote but you can bet it will be coming as releasing just on the PC just isn't feasible anymore because of all the pirates.

The dialog in The Witcher was among the best I have seen in a game. So respectfully, I must disagree.

I don't see why it has to be rivalry, I plan to get both DA 2 and Fable 3. Most likely Witcher 2 as well, although I didn't play part 1, because my PC can't run it.

Fable doesn't really have much of a story and yes I agree with you there, but then they have to make sure the rest of the game is stellar and not a buggy mess which sadly seems to be the case with a lot of their games.

Maybe it'll get delayed, heck DA:O was delayed for another 6 months.

I hope so, actually. As you said, many people might prefer an other of the hundred games coming  in Q1 2011 rathar than DA2.

Considering that their Star Wars: The Old Republic will be released in Spring 2011, I really doubt DA2 will be delayed.  That would be infringing on their own money-making products and BioWare always says they are against promoting/releasing more than one of their products at a time.  They would lose sales -- against themselves.

A lot actually, by rivarly I mean which will sell more and to sell a lot of games you need to release it on multiple platforms and because PC games are so prone to piracy that means sales will take a major hit on that platform because of it.
