Initially, or after a year? I think it will be a close match between 360 and PC at first, but after 6 months or a year the 360 version will have sold the most, followed by PC and PS3 last, and I imagine the gaps between each version to be significant.

Order of sales, as I see it:
1. X-Box
2. PC
3. PS3
4. Edinborough Maroinette Theatre (featuring semi-nude puppetry with blood decals)

The Game Boy Advance version, isn't it obvious?

Probably PC/360/PS3. If either console jumps over PC it's the 360.

#1 will be PC

For sure the #1 will be the PC, as PC gamers like this kind of game (more complex and deep) the most.

it seems rare these days that the pc dominates any sales when something is released on all three but this is just a pc experience. i think those who have said that the xbox will eventually catch up are right, but this game feels like a win for all of us nostalgic for long nights, faces pressed against our giant CRTs, playing baulder's gate while everything on a console was lame.

A very good question, the game was meant as a successor to the BG series so I think it is safe to say PC unless the game is a big hit with the mainstream video gamers which is not impossible

I believe that PC will sell the most over time, but that Xbox 360 will sell the most in the first few months. The PlayStation 3 will definitely be last, especially since it releases two weeks later which already puts it at a disadvantage.

I think PC also.

The Xbox players better hope there are massive PC sales, or they won't be playing many player-made modules.

PC>360>PS3
With a good marketing campaign Bioware has tried to take off of our minds the fact that this is mainly a PC game. Its gameplay is best appreciated with a mouse and keyboard at hand and not a controller. Its been commented in several reviews as well.
However the main target for this game will be the PC community that has played games like Baldurs gate or more recently Neverwinter Nights.

Even though I am getting this game for 360, I have to agree with the PC gamers here.
I bet the PC will have more sales. I hate to say it, but it's not even the graphics. If BioWare had given us the toolset and Microsoft/Sony had let them do what they wanted from the get go, I think Xbox 360 would have the most sales. One word... freedom.
But, if we DO get player content from you PC guys later as planned and BioWare gives us access to the toolset (if possible), I think sales from the Xbox 360 in the long run will smoke PC sales. It's not bias in any way. Consoles are just more accessable to people with a tight budget; and the Xbox 360 is the Ford of consoles lol.

Nobody developes a game using Xbox. Toolset for Xbox is very unlikely.

Addendum: I stated the X-box would sell more copies, but I think Bioware will make more money from the PC crowd with DLC and the like.

If console users get to freely download content made on the PC toolset ........ then that will boost up the sales for the console version, however it will never make up for the feeling you get playing a game like this on your mouse and keyboard B)B)

Xbox. But the number of people who steal it on PC will be higher.

I'm definitely going with PC-360-PS3.
On a related note, does anyone know why the PS3 version is coming out two weeks later? Standard exclusivity bs, or are they actually making the two console versions different in some way?

PC in my opinion. Thats how these games are meant to be played in my eyes.
Also - regarding a toolset for the XBox: Even if MS gave Bioware the go ahead to do something like this.. could you imagine how difficult it would be to actually build a module? The toolset would have to be a basic drag and drop affair - no custom overrides, scripts, etc (kinda hard to do a script w/o a keyboard) - could you imagine trying to type a script in w/ the on screen XBox keyboard?

you can make a script
The x box has a pop up key board...it would just take a bit longer...
