I have a cutscene in with a handful of actors, and it works great with one exception: I'm calling two actors (a guard and a captain) from ARL200, and while they appear in the cut in the toolset, they do not appear in-game. All characters native to that area appear just fine.
I notice that in the game, there are multiple copies of many NPCs - some absolutely identical as far as I can tell - and I am beginning to suspect that this is so that those actors are available for cuts in that area.
Am I on the right track here? Must I make a copy of an actor in my area for that actor to be available for cutscenes there? Or does my problem lie elsewhere?
Thanks for any insight.

Suspect it will depend on what you have specified in the Mapping Tag, Export ResRef and Mapping Required fields. In short, if there's no NPC in the area that can be matched to the person you have in your cutscene, then depending on these switches the game will either create a "stunt actor" matching the tag, or skip rendering the character altogether. You probably want the switches set in a manner that makes the game do the former rather than the latter.
