what happen to darkspawn?
I think you're wrong. Awakening save based on imported from Origins has all needed info. And Awakening did happen. It's a part of main plot. In Origins when you talk to Riordian in Eamon's estate and ask why it takes so long for blight to happen, he wonders why blight happened at all, when darkspawn are just tunneling, blindly searching for an Old God.Arttis wrote...

No Sigs? No Nate? No Anders?
I also wonder about Awakening, I mean I saved Ameranthine and protected the farms you reclaimed a plate in an old Thaig. And I killed the Architect ( although I doubt that a Darkspawn so intelligent and powerfull that he can turn other Darkspawn sentient dies so easy). So yeah some points of DA:O A should at least be meantiond in DA 2.Lord Gremlin wrote...

In Awakening it's answered - why the Blight has happened. It was no random darkspawn luck. And my evil mage made sure the reason Blight happened lives. A bit of betrayal here, and I want to import it in DA2. So when another Blight begins, or sapient darkspawn start executing a plan of turning every human into a ghoul, I'll know - it's because my warden allied with Mr. A. in Awakening.

First darkspawn bolt aimed to Hawke's crotch will change this attitude. Forever. And Beard won't help here.Gaxhung wrote...

I hope they don't do for Awakening what they're doing for Old Republic (just pretending like KoTOR 2 never happened)

Let me play a prophet then and tell you that DA2 will be about Architect's plan to turn everybody into a ghoul. New darkspawn on first screenshots looks like his minions in Awakening. Also, he promised to end Blights, but he never promised not to try and conquer the surface world.MaxQuartiroli wrote...

MMM.. do we all know they said DA2 won't be about fighting another blight (therefore I suppose it won't be focused in killing darkspawn too?)
Therefore if they dismissed the story of the Warden and of the DarkSpawn, what you did after you ended the blight and defeated the Archdemon, either be killing the Architecht or leave him free to live won't have any consequence in the sequel...
So you killed the Architect. However any of his numerous sidekicks would suffice as his successor. So...aebriol wrote...
Well I killed the architect!
... but other than that, I am not sure I agree. I agree it's a logical conclusion, but I am also thinking that it may be a completely new, different story, with just loose ties to the original, with new main villains, etc.
