Image IPBImage IPBAs a mage player, I have several ideas for mage specializations. Here's one:

Elementalist:  A mage who focuses his powers on elemental destruction. Sort of like if there was a fifth talent after the four primal trees.

Mentalist: A mage with talents that focus on manipulation and disorientation of the mind and senses.  Not in a blood magic kind of way though.

What would you all like to see?

I play as all classes but prefer warrior and mage. I like your mage ideas.

Warrior: Grey Warden: Since you won't be playing as a grey warden, is it possible to do the joining on your own free will or something?

Knight-Commander: The upgraded version of templar that does more attack and spell damage to enemies.

hmm

Druid

"Forest Warrior" (something like a druid/fighter)

Elven Mage

Blade Dancer

Commander

Elementalist (not to focus only on destruction, and have water, air, earth, and fire paths more worked out, I would want a healer/water user)

Monk

Barbarian

Bandit (Robin Hood-like)

They did the elven mage thing with the Keeper specialization (which was a bit of druid as well). I like the idea of a monk-like path (assuming you're drawing off of D&D). Unarmed attacks would be neat, but I'm not sure how well that fits into Thedas. Perhaps the Qunari have something like that?

Duelling for Warriors (Proper duelling, not that rubbish rogues got.), where you only use one, one handed weapon.

Shields are for wimps, dual wielding is for savages and two handers are for overcompensators. Let me fight like a civilised man Bioware!

I want a warrior specialization that actually does use demonic influences from the fade. Reaver is power from dragons and has absolutely nothing to do with the fade or demons unlike what its description would tell you.

Best. Idea. Ever.

I always went duelist on my rogues...I just like the dichotomy of finesse and elegance mixed with bloody fighting. In fact that's probably why I took up fencing. :)

No, I want to use the power of pride demons and desire demons, not benevolent spirits of valor and justice.

a mage specialization that allows me to summon demons (much like that ranger guy in DA1, just EVIL)

an warriorspec that allows me to use some more cowardly tricks, like the one the rogue has.

an roguespec that enhances my ability to build traps and improves my stealth ability so i can build very awesome traps right before my enemy attacks me.

Perhaps some kind of weapon specialist for warrior?

Do we know anything about the Free Marches that might suggest what kind of story-flavored specializations could be present?

How about something "spirit warrior"-style? You have the ability to summon fade spirits to aid you in battle ( sort of like Wynne). They would be self-buffs, like Spirit of Vengeance, which increases damage but decreases defense... Some dude sitting in a graveyard could teach :D

Alchemist: gains bonuses to bombs and potions, and has unique recipes only he can craft, maybe a unique ability to turn all that junk in your bags into gold without visiting a store.

Image IPBImage IPBI just want a summoning TREE! I know they say you can't teleport anything, but wouldn't it be cool if there was a line of spells that formed allies out of pure energy? That's not teleportation, more like sculpting. You could even make it defensive.

Conjure Blade (short-sword that fights for you)
Conjure Armor (defense boost for you)
Conjure Guardian (Energy warrior with armor and sword)

Stuff like that.

How about being able to be possesed by a demon, and use it in a kind of symbiotic parasite kind of way? Could work for all the classes. the warrior would be like somekind of demonic tank, that would debuff its oppents, or enhance its own reslienace. the mage would become more destuctive but would weaken on healing others.

Do you think any of the specializations will affect conversations or situations? would be intresting to see how they react to a blood mage and his own thoughts on the magic? like are you a demon worshiper or are you just out for power?

I enjoyed all aspects of dragon age, save for there was no dedicated healer, dont get me wrong, you go as a spirit healer and go into the creation tree, but even then, they lacked the big heal's which were some times needed, I think a whole new class should be added, such as a cleric or druids?

Image IPBImage IPBNah, it wouldn't make sense in the context of the world; we talked about this a lot leading up to DA:O's release. When you're possessed by the demon it completely controls you. You would have to be playing as the demon instead of Hawke.

School of Demonology. It deserves its own School.
