I would like to see the elementalist in game the mentalist not my cup o grape soda. Instead of a mentalist how about a warlock type specizationandar91 wrote...
As a mage player, I have several ideas for mage specializations. Here's one:
Elementalist: A mage who focuses his powers on elemental destruction. Sort of like if there was a fifth talent after the four primal trees.
Mentalist: A mage with talents that focus on manipulation and disorientation of the mind and senses. Not in a blood magic kind of way though.
What would you all like to see?

The rogue should have an AI trigger to reach backstab position by himself too, it's BORING to babysit rogues you are not directly controlling.

Much easier to think of classes/skills if the enemies specialize/cast/hit you with an alignment that the player has to counter by x class/spell.

Do we know if they're adding spears? I hadn't heard that.

I also think a shadow manipulation type specialization for mages would be pretty cool.
For rouges....I'd like a specialization that was actually useful. I don't really have any ideas, but in DA:O I never liked any of the skills that came with the specializations. Just felt like they were unnecessary. =/
For warriors...I think a sabre type class would be nice. Sadly I think those are a bit ahead of the timespan of the Dragon Age. ^.^"
But anything for warriors that involved single handed sword combat would be nice. I've never liked shielding, two handed is too slow, and duel wielding is waaayy too cheap of a path to go(overpowered much?)

Maybe if they were attached to a rope wrapped around your arm and you could whip them around God of War style. xD

Not really a specialization...but if Mages could use some spells related to water, that'd be nice. Ice attacks are lame.
I agree, water users could be the sith of dragon age, imagine water bubble for protection against elements, or people suffocating in a water globe, unable to escape it

hehe, for DnD 3.5 I had a class for a dual shield using dwarven clan the "Twoshields", with attacks like shield bash and spiked shields its possible and it looks exotic

I'm ok with ice. Water would be cool too, but the primal element that I REALLY want is air (as in wind, not lightning).

I agree with the air thing, but I kinda feel like it's a dangerous thing to create. It's easily the most dangerous of elements and they'd have to underpower the element a lot considering the obvious potential behind it. [manipulating air to completely avoid a certain space turning it into an oxygen-less vacuum of space, making it speed through someone at razor-sharp speeds that could slice diamonds, etc etc]

Well I didn't necessarily mean at THAT level of power. I imagine a wind chain being less about damage and more about fringe benefits and crowd control. Like gusts of wind that knock foes back and maybe a whirlwind that knocks enemies away or immobilizes them.

water is the most dangerous, simply because the fact that it exists in everything and everywhere, even in your own body... or in the body of enemies
