How about being able to be possesed by a demon, and use it in a kind of symbiotic parasite kind of way? Could work for all the classes. the warrior would be like somekind of demonic tank, that would debuff its oppents, or enhance its own reslienace. the mage would become more destuctive but would weaken on healing others.

Do you think any of the specializations will affect conversations or situations? would be intresting to see how they react to a blood mage and his own thoughts on the magic? like are you a demon worshiper or are you just out for power?

Image IPBImage IPBNah, it wouldn't make sense in the context of the world; we talked about this a lot leading up to DA:O's release. When you're possessed by the demon it completely controls you. You would have to be playing as the demon instead of Hawke.

That only happens with really powerful demons. Most abominations are a fusion between the mage and the demon, at least according to the codex.

I want demon powers. Or summoning demons. Demonology perhaps. Better Shapeshifting than in Origins. Perhaps a mage specialization that involves soul stealing. Perhaps a fist fighting specialization or martial arts. Maybe even a ninja specialization.

While I like specializations I also see them as a little pointless in the game. Would be better imho to just add the tier options to them all once you reach a certain level based on your class. The reason I say this, is because taking a specialization like assassin makes no sense if your never going to actually use it, or be hired as one. Sure in DA:0 you got a few extra quests from the Crows, but all they were was more hack and slash.

However, if I had to ask for some new ones I'd like to go with the following

for both rogue and warrior: swashbuckler

Rogue: Avenger (like a good version of an assassin) , Spy

Warrior: Ronin/Samurai based (I say based as I know the true versions wouldn't fit)

Mage: Wild Mage or Necromancer

Something for archery... Pure archers got the shaft in Origins IMO. Most (all?) of the attacks were melee based so you couldn't use them if you wanted to play a pure archer, you could have buffs (bard, champion, etc) and debuffs (assassin, champion, etc.) and that's about it. Some of those spells were even focused towards melee players by having a short target range.

Mage: Tranquil - lose all your magic abilities when you select this specialization. However, due to your severed connection to the Fade and resulting lack of emotions, you will be invulnerable to all fear/mental spells.

Now there's usually a bright side to everything.

i want them to revamp ranger so it is more along the lines of Aragorn or Drzzt, no more summoning animals out of thin air (good bow and melee, dps not tanking)
Ash Warrior (get a mabari)
Gollum controller for mages (like Wilhelm in the book)
some type of ninja style character, but called something to fit the lore (huge dps)
revamp arcane warrior so that they are not just hugely overpowered, think more like Gandalf...sword and staff..stuns and damage, and maybe only certain armors that allow casting (BG 2)
give some specialization of warrior or rogue a revive (champ and bard fit best)
mix rogue and mage, no fireballs or things like that, but attack and defense buffs, plus maybe invisibility or some kind of AOE stun

It'd be horrible being a tranquil. And then they'd have to do voice acting for the tranquil lines as well. It'd be horrible being an emotionless character.

This. Blood magic was small-time in DAO, I want something more hardcore.

Demon Summoning

Improved Shapeshifter - more forms to turn into, possible uses outside of combat(infiltration etc,)

Return of Arcane Warrior, with the ability to cats all spells while still having you weapon out.

demonolgy is pretty much summoning demons and turning into demons. Or summon a pride demon then fuse with it.

Yes, that is a good idea. Some sort of demon-related specialization would also help demonstrate why mages are so feared.

Exorcist, for rogues (since all of these Chantry priests seem to be rogues)-- kind of like a rogue version of templar, focused on people and creatures which channel the Fade in some way.

I'm also for the whole demon-summoning thing. Also necromancy.

I would love to see a Time Mage. A mage that can manipulate time itself. Say you get ambushed without expeting it after opening a door of some sort, The time mage could stop time for a few brief seconds, allow a rogue to place a lure/trap, then time resumes giving you an upper hand.

The tree could be something like; Slow Time (slows enemies for a duration but not your allies)>

Essence of Time (enchants players weapons with a chance on

attack to increase there attack speed/lower the enemies for a

short duration)>

Time Manipulation (stops time for a brief time)>

Time Warp ( allows the time mage to teleport him/herself and the

party to an area instantly) This would be in a dungeon area, not

teleportation around the entire world, And it would have a

longer cooldown so it could not be abused.

And when you cast it, it must be punctuated every time by the chorus, "Let's do the time warp agaaaiin!!!"

Couldn't resist. I like the time mage idea though.

How about a acrobat spec for rogues. Do some crazy flips and tricks while stabbing people would look very nice.
