Ranger. It's a D&D class.

Isn't that already existing?

Demonology Mage I saw. Yes.

More than new specs, I want the current ones "improved" (Duelist doesn't have that spec feel to it, Ranger is apparently eh and Shapeshifter blows, etc) and fleshed out. add another line of talents for each spec and limit us back to 2.

Shapeshifter DOES blow. It needs to be seriously revamped. If you take away a mage's ability to cast spells, you had better make it worthwhile to shift in the first place.

Now for actual looks thru the thread...

Not really a specialization...but if Mages could use some spells related to water, that'd be nice. Ice attacks are lame.

I agree, water users could be the sith of dragon age, imagine water bubble for protection against elements, or people suffocating in a water globe, unable to escape it

Yes. Water magic would be awesome. Necromancy too, but that may be a little lore-wonky.

the Rogue-version-of-templar could be interesting, as an idea at least.

Also, archery. while it may not need an actual spec just for itself, at least make other specs more friendly with archery, Bioware?

Image IPBImage IPBI loved the concept of a shapeshifter, but it never felt quite right in the game.

I'd like to see a Kensai-type class.

Yes shapeshifter could be a blast if they would make some changes to it, like better shapes such as a giant wolf like in Twilight with a da makeover and instant change with a long recharge time, also some passive ability, animal instinct(bonus to defence) upgradeable

A better version of Arcane Warrior, some kind of Spirit Warrior/Arcane Warrior mix. I like the Guardian class, & the shapechanger could be dropped.

Oh and a Rogue spec Inquisitor Templar would be great

Another nod to a demonologist specialization. It should probably be folded into Blood Mage to fit in with established lore. Perhaps Blood Mage could be split into two separate lines with their own focus. One could emphasize mental manipulation and another demon summoning. That said, I would like to see fewer mage specializations straying too far from the core class. A generic archmage specialization that buffs one's existing spells would be handy or perhaps an elementalist. Arcane Warrior and Shapeshifter are too hybridized for my tastes.

A monk type class that lets you fight like Utha would be awesome. The tree could work like this-

Sustained-grants bonus to attack and defense when no weapons are equipped

Passive-grants large bonus to dexterity when 1st ability is active

Activated-Strikes an enemy 3 times, each strike being a critical hit(long cooldown)

Passive-Further bonuses to attack, defense, dexterity and activated ability now moves on to second target if first target dies before the third strike

Yep, bring back Mindflayer as a shapeshifting form (poor brains).

Cooking show host: Hawke has gotten sick of this crap, and has hung up his swords for good. Now he gets to make cooking time fun time for all you folks at home at 5 o'clock every day.

For Dalish...sadly which we won't see...so maybe from the Dalish the Hunter class. It would be mostly archery but it would mix in being mobile while you shoot, making it the only class that can run and gun. Also throw in some stun moves for when enemies close in, hopefully it would be like a swift kick to the head that has a knockdown and daze effect.

Or Tevinter Magister, it would be for high level characters and I think it would be quite interesting.
