A greater variety of clothing is needed for DA2.

As for the female outfits, I like that the ladies don't look like strippers in this game. You can have armor that's practical and still shows off your body shape so that you're visually appealing without compromising believability.
I also agree with GoldenRose's comment about the character models. I often play women, but I don't like how they look like inverted triangles! Urgh....

It's like they didn't even try!
I cringe every time I see those peasant shoes.

I would think the the form of the armor won't change much - I mean it is armor you can't have much fashion with it - but that the crests to personalize like they had in DAA will make a return. It'd be nice if that wasn't merely an aesthetic choice. If you are walking around in House Smith colors it should have an effect on how people view you based on how they view House Smith for example.
I'm the only person who liked the mage gear because it didn't look like every airbrushed 70's van. Made the setting feel a bit more unique.

How about the one suit of armour fits all races and genders?
One size fits all would never happen in Thedas.
I mean, it technically does game wise, but they'd still have to animate different ones for the races, since humans and qunari are pretty tall while dwarves are little buggers.

it's not a mmorpg but with a toolset .. Which i guess make it harder to do very stylized armor and clothing.. Unlike hmm Assasin creed super stylized armor for the hero.
MMORPG they're paid to stuff their subcriber with uber coool looking armor ...
I don't want more variety .. I want style.

Less poofies on the mage hats would make me happy.
Agreed. And perhaps be replaced with even a simple hood? A cool, fashionable looking hood of course.

I was being funny. At least in the first ME they had different armours for different races. You couldn't just pick up a suit of armour laying on the road and put it on(imagine a qunari squeezing into Elf armour).
ROFL.

The first time I put a hat on my mage I busted out laughing. Couldn't stop for a good minute. Kind of looked like she was wearing a feather duster on her head.

Haha... yeah, it's maybe something I can see Wynne getting away with, but not the warden. We'd just prove to be laughing stock to just about anything coming our way. Even the silly attempt at a hood was laughable in my opinion. My poor mage was forced to wander Ferelden with a cold bare head because I couldn't stand to walk around with those things on my head.
