Almost, except most of her chest is unprotected.

i dont mind that. looks like the character is a ranger/archer. they usually wear medium armor. leathers and such.(maybe a small metal chest piece) shes not walking around in her underwear so, to me its ok, because it fits her profession.

say a knight/warrior, would wear heavy armor so i'd expect a full plate of armor(covered chest, shapely, with boob slots! i like a feminine touch).

More clothing options? Sure, fine by me. Anything that makes the experience more realistic.

Agreed with the first page 100%

A greater variety of clothing and armor and especially more unique models for unique items would be splendid. And the mage hats were just awful. I couldn't wear them.

As much as I love Bioware, they kind of have some history with bad clothes. KOTOR's clothing and especially armor was just ugly as sin. I couldn't stand to wear the stuff. Same with the goofy headgear. Thank the gods for the invisible headwear mod. Though the jedi robes suited me fine, and thus, crisis averted. Dragon age wasn't terrible by any means, but some extra models couldn't have hurt. Luckily the excellent modding community has added some variety in that area.

As long as Bioware doesn't pull a Bethesda and start releasing half-baked junk with the expectation that the modding community will fix it up and fill it with goodies...I'm looking forward to seeing a greater variety of clothing/armor in DA2.

I'd like to see some dark mage robes. To complete the look of my character.

On that note, DA:O needs more ****s, even if you can't interact with them.

The Pearl was sadly in need of some of them.

I never noticed how much more detailed Carmen was compared to the other Hookers.

They're both carmen, the one on the right is just from the Enhanced  edition.

I'd also like to be able to wear more casual clothing. Sure there was the peasant clothing and noble clothing in DAO, but they were all too hard to get a hold of in my opinion.

That reminds me.

Bioware stop making "Boob slots" in female armour.  In real life, their armour wouldn't be crafted to comfortably fit their boobs. (In the rare case that a woman actually had a suit of armour)

If i remember right what i read, in real life suits of armour being dang expensive  would be generally made to fit the individual wearer they were made for. So if said wearer had breasts, it's just a part of their shape and it'd be perfectly normal for the armoursmith to accomodate for that.

(the prohibitive cost of heavier armours is even mentioned in descriptions of DA items, usually the helmets)

I think the best way for Bioware to look at clothing for a good perspective. Bioware's artist could really learn a thing or two about creating robes. I think the robes where definitely something that needed to be addressed in the game. A lot of game designers not just bioware have a hard time coming up with robes.
I will also say this. There is nothing wrong with taking ideas from other genres and other games when it comes to creating fashion. As long as you make it your own style by tweaking it in many ways you should be find and able to avoid law suits. Posted Image

Heres a great website for robes I found for yeah to use a reference bioware!

These robes are wonderful and I could see them on DA2s characters. Please look at these. Posted Image

The original Dragon Age suffered from a lack of clothing, Hence, almost everyone ended up looking alike because everyone wore the same clothing, with few exceptions. Even the robes for the mages were based off of the same two or three meshes.

So, here is where BioWare should take a page from Bethesda and create a slightly more diverse wardrobe for everyone in the game. Pants/shirts should be interchangeable with one another, etc.

Do that, and the game will be even better. Of course, I know clothing is very superficial compared to elements like gameplay, but a touch of variety can never hurt.

i agree with this. Tthe fact that all light armors looked more or less the same irritated me. And that the mages had to wear traffic cones as helmets.

As long as the greater variety doesn't include the dreaded poofy pants from NWN, it should be a good thing. Seriously, does anyone remember the days when there were no robes and all those poor mages were forced to go around wearing poofy pants?

Most of all, I'd like more models for light armor. Rogues need more than one armor!

I hope that DA2 will be as mod friendly as DA:O. Because there sure are lots of creative players out there that has created some really cool and good looking armors.

Here are some examples. (Not going to insert the images. Dont want to flood the forum)

i really only like this one.(except the legs) although i'm not to sure what armor class it would be. looks abit heavy for a rogue....(traditional sense of medium armor anyway)
others are to flat or just colour/texture swatches.

Personally i love the Mord'Sith armor. It really looks like something that could be used by a stealthy rogue.
Armor of the devout looks very nice as well. A bit heavy maybe as tennyochan said. But i guess it could be fitting for a duelist rogue type.

I also found a really nice arcane warrior armor at the Nexus before. But i'm unable to find it again :(

It would be great to get something unique for rogues. Like the assassin armor mod.

It looks really good, yes. Overpowered but you can fix that with the Winter Forge. (Or just go through the game smiting everyone like a god).

As some people here have already shown, Guild War was excellent for armour and robe designs. They have really good art directors.

You know what we really need? Hoods. I know this has been mentioned but man, I want a slew of hoods. Black hoods, green hoods, multi-colored hoods. You know who has a hood? Morrigan. She doesn't where it, but why does the witch get the hood?

Hoods, cloaks and masks.

And the option to keep helmets, hoods or masks on during conversations. It's goddamn ridiculous that they came off, especially in the middle of a bloody battlefield. I mean... Why?! What was honestly the point of forcing us out of our helmets?!

In addition to more variety in clothing I would like a few sidequests that would require special set of clothes. Like disguises in DA:O. For example the party would need to infiltrate a fancy ball to question the nobles there and they would get fancy evening dresses or the party would need to pretend they're chantry priests or travelling bards or something.

They could make different normal clothing available to the PC but without quests they would just be clutter in your inventory. Sure it would be fun to walk around in a dress a bit for the novelty but you need armour to stay alive and space in your inventory so you would need to sell the useless item anyway.

Rule of cool. It's better visually to see the characters' heads when they speak. For purposes of differentiation at the very least.

Would be nice if there was a 3-position toggle that was Default, Never Show Helms, and Always Show Helms. Doubt it'd be hard to implement, either, just a deftly-placed boolean variable and Bob's your mother's brother.
