As we know there will be more DLC coming for DA until DA2 arrives.  Fine.  The new direction is interesting.  DA2 looks to be a combo of DA and ME2.  Can’t say much until we get more details, but so far, fine.  I have one question for the Devs, simple yes or no answer will suffice.  Is Awakening the end of the Warden’s tale?  Not the end of repercussions, but the end as a playable character.  Thanks.

I don't think they are going to tell us, but my guess would be that the answer is that we are at the end of the Warden as a playable character. That doesn't mean that DAO DLC between now and DA2 won't extend the story, however. Imagine a Morrigan DLC that takes place after the end of the Blight and fills in a bit of her story. So there are ways they can tell more of the story, but keep in mind that they have to honor the sacrifice ending as well.

Just as I thought. I take the silence as a "Yes" it was the end. Pity. I guess I won't be buying any more DA dlc.

No. There's another expansion. That's what the date in awakening was. The Arl of Foreshadow confirmed that.

If it was the end they would come out and say it.

The only time when they can't confirm or deny something is when it's a possible future project and thus cannot be discussed until they officialy announce it.

Thanks.  Is there a link?  If not, no problem.

I've a link to the Arl of Foreshadow. The first is a reference to Awakening

No, a dev said somewhere it was Q3 or Q4 2011.

They have said that 2-11 is still a release that fans of Dragon Age will look forward too, and according to the company information it's going to multiple gaming ports. DA2 is set for about five weeks later.

Arl of Foreshadow I believe just was a hint towards Awakening, imo. The only one that doesn't sync up completely is the very last hint, and that could simply have been Velanna's original character idea that was changed between Origins and Awakening release. Or it could be expansion two, nothing 100% positive.

DA 2 is in March.  The 2-1-11 date, "is referring to a special date for Dragon Age fans." from joystiq article.

Hmm, a month before the release of DA2. Could be another fancy CG trailer. Bioware likes to hype those up.

How does the one about Arlathan match up?

The one about the Fade is  Justice and the Orlesian to Ferelden phrase book is about the Orlesian wardan.

I guess my big thing is that I really, really, REALLY hated the end of Awakening, and I had hoped that the Warden's story would continue or at least have a proper conclusion. Out of all the stuff that has come out lately, I have more concerns about that than anything. Oh well, it's not like it hasn't happened before.

Silence is not an affirmation.  Generally speaking, Bioware employees won't be allowed to talk about unrevealed products.  Though they might have authority or permission to do so, silence is actually the baseline, and you can't infer anything from it.

I'm actually hoping for one more expansion to DAO, though I think it is unlikely since DA2 has been announced.  I was hoping last week's announcement would be an expansion.  But there will be DLC in any case.

Well, we've got more DLC coming at least and it seems they have at least thought of some with the Warden. In this interview with IGN prior to Leliana's Song being released BioWare writer Lukas Kristjanson said this:

IGN: There are a huge number of characters in Dragon Age with rich back stories, can you talk about why Leliana was chosen as the focus forthis DLC amongst all the other characters, and if we can expect more character-focused DLC like this in the future starring other companions from the main game?

Lukas Kristjanson:
We wanted a character who could play with what we've already established and still feel genuine. Leliana seemed an obvious fit, because she's a natural storyteller. We also did initial design work for several other followers—some as back-story, some as epilogue, some involving the player Grey Warden, and some not. I'm confident you'll hear about another of those soon, but Leliana's Song isn't a template for what to expect. Leliana tells a stylized tale, and while I enjoyed working with the theme, we've got a different purpose in mind for each DLC release.

Oh I completely agree 100%. The ending to Awakening isn't an ending at all. It just uproots the Warden from whatever he/she was doing and has them "vanish!" for no apparent reason.

If we could get some confirmation that the Warden may get a proper send off eventually, I feel I'd be able to get more enthusiastic about DA2.

Vanishing for no reason could indicate that he/she has another adventure. coming up.  That would be a good reason to vanish, right?
