You're just saying that because you're being paid by the television industry to review all video games as bad. I used to be in the media business, I know how this stuff works - you know, supply and demand and pie charts and sales figures and all.

But everyone knows BioWare sold out when they targeted a larger audience by starting to make video games back in 1996 with Shattered Steel. They betrayed us aspiring physicians by halting their development of medical education software, which everyone knows are TRUE COMPUTER PROGRAMS, unlike what they make now.

Medical software to video games? Dumbed down, obviously. Thanks for targeting the video gamer market, BioWare!

Wow, I had no idea Bio was also coding for biomedical applications in the past. Of course, it makes sense, the founders being MDs.

The worst thing is that the two styles aren't even all that mutually exclusive.
Yet the people claiming to be such hardcore RPG fans have no bloody imagination and if they can't figure out how it could be done then it's inarguably impossible and if you disagree then you're wrong and stupid and not as hardcore as them.

You either have 1000 classes to play or a voiceover, if not you get a dwarf sounding like an elf. It's a matter of resources

You either have a fixed background and a more specific story to tell, or you get to explore the history of different races and your story is not that specific because it assumed no background.

So since you claim to have more imagination, I thought you may want to elaborate instead of pulling things out of the thin air.

the only reason why i didnt really like to play DA:O was because of the no freeroam, If it was a freeroam instead of MAKING you have to go place then it would be better, i still beat the game and think that i was awesome. But having the freeroam in DA2 would make it have more playablility for me, plus im just saying dont start flamming me like an troll becuase i know they are out there... hiding

Because the minute the do people will swear they sold out to Trama Center.

Just imagine it now...

*Not my Dr. Wentworth!

*Why can't he be a genealogist?

*Can I customize his Scrubs?

*Where's my hot nurse and her tongue depressor?

Yes that's true, in DA:O you didn't have the free-roam of BG. But I was referring to freedom story-wise (not that the two are uncorrelated) and that you had the freedom to explore the lore of all races. Seems that these days resources needed for AAA+ games are huge and you can't have it all.

Actually, considering that MDs are behind Bio, I'd be quite interested in seeing a "medical RPG" from them.

So you'd start off as an intern, perhaps move on to general practice? Oooo, think of the Specialisation classes. Brain Surgery, Osteopathy ... err ... gynaecology? Ok, maybe not.

I can't believe how many of you completely failed at getting what the OP was trying to say. It's that no matter what BioWare does, people complain about, thus saying BW can do nothing right. Why was this so difficult to understand? And yes, I got it after reading the first post. I didn't need the OP to explain it to me.

YEah, that is weird!Posted Image Only it has to be like an ER story, but in RPG Style. IT would start you as an intern. The world as you know it about to change the minute you set foot in your first trauma ward. The story starts off slow and all of sudden a tornado hits a near buy town. People start rushing in and you have no experience in what your doing. You can walk around and talk to patiences and doctors and medical staff. Slowly but surely you start to learn more about being a surgen. Finally you realize the hospital staff is low and there are to many people who need your help. You are placed in the shoes of a medical employee and now its your time to show the world your epic medical skills you learned in college. Will you help people in the hospital or will you leave a trail of death behind you for your inexperience and knowledge. The game learn fast and keep people alive or watch them die!
