Hey Devs, is Inon Zur coming back to compose the tracks to Dragon Age 2. I loved "I am the One" and "Ferelden At War". The "Main Theme" will always kick assPosted Image! I hope you guys are revamping it. Could you just say, in a few words if you like, how the Dragon Age 2 soundtrack is gonna sound like, maybe more dark and grimy than Origins? What can you talk about it?

Same question goes for Aubrey Ashburn and Simon Pressey, they returning as well?

What? Didn't anyone like the music from Dragon Age? Or did you not like it just because Leliana just broke out in musical when you talked to her?

While there were quite a bit of excellent pieces, few were truly memorable. Inon Zur needs to step his game up a bit. Plus, I'd really love Corvus Corax to return. And do more than one piece. That's not even IN the game.

The soundtrack wasn't really memorable, apart from Leliana's Song I couldn't really remember a single melody right now. I know Inon Zur can do better than that.

Don't tell me you can't remember the Main Theme to Dragon Age. That one part is always epic.

Did you even play the game.   The main theme on the main menu, and on playstation xmb when you stay over the disc icon, that song is probably one of the best in videogame history IMO. Unfortunately it was not in the actual game, not even the credits. The rest of the music does need to take a step up however.

We definetly need some more Baldur's gate and Boo action, also Jade Empire 2 now that graphics and game component improved since it came out, it could eradicate all the problems there were in JE1

I'm a collector of movie and video game sountracks and I think that Inon Zur did a fantastic job for DAO. One of the most ethereal / memorable tracks I've heard in a game was the music in camp and at the character creator. Simple but enchanting. Orzammar's theme is truly majestic. The main theme is brilliant. The battle themes are epic. Leliana's song DLC has new songs which fit perfectly with the whole atmo of it and they're very different from the original game tracks. Actually, I don't know another RPG with better and richer soundtrack. Maybe "The Witcher" sountrack is close and also the "Rise of the Argonauts" sountrack (Tyler Bates).

In few words, I think that Inon Zur should be again the composer of DA.

You don't remember the main battle theme with the horns and drums blasting? For shame!

I think DAO suffered mostly from a lack of music. There wasn't enough of it. A lot of themes were re-used-- most egregiously, IMO, when the high dragon theme was re-used for the archdemon. What's this? A final boss without a final boss theme? Inconceivable!

What was there was well-produced overall, and ranged from alright to quite good, IMO. I liked the main theme, the Orzammar theme, the Calenhad docks theme (seriously, I have a feeling this one is under-appreciated a lot, because many people barely even heard it, due to its low volume)-- and some others. I happened to hate the Dalish camp theme, though. No more of that happy sunshine tree-people nonsense.

Blind Guardian.

Hey... they did do some music for Sacred 2... so its not entirely out of the question. And it'd fit the game better than that Manson rubbish or 'This is War'.

I imagine they'll keep Inon Zur on to keep the "theme" constant. I believe Mass Effect 1 and 2 have the same composers, and it's not uncommon for a series to keep a composer.
