So I wonder...

You know, it's like someone writing a book, telling half the story, or perhaps two thirds, ending it with loose threads all over the place, and promises of more to come, and publishing it.
Everyone is looking forward to the installment where you get to experience the end.
Then, suddenly, out of the blue, the author makes public that the next book in the series will have absolutely nothing to do with the characters from the first installment, it will take place in another realm, it will be about something else entirely.
...................
There -are- a few authors like that, and it has done them no good.
So, I ask again, will Bioware -ever- give us the opportunity to actually end the tale of the warden?

I think that by leaving it open-ended, they allow you to complete your character's story within your own imagination.

But I wouldn't say DA2 has "absolutely nothing to do with the characters from the first installment." Our major, world-changing decisions will be imported, plus at least Flemeth (if not more) will return, and who knows what else?

^this^, many movies and games have left me with the feeling of "I NEED MORE" but eventually i just got over that stage and my imagination chose a scenario that worked best for me...obviously i wouldn't have been annoyed if they chose to continue the origin story's but I'm really excited for this new story now.andar91 wrote...

The ending happened at the end of Origins. At least for me.
Ten bucks says the other ending will turn out to be canon, no matter how much that saddens me.
