Image IPBImage IPBWill we get them?  Maybe it doesn't fit with their vision for the world, but I think it's a fair question to bring up. Rogue's get traps and poisons after all.  So can mages get a rod of fire that actually WORKS in combat. Maybe I'm just too used to D&D, but I miss being able to use wands and such.

Then again, this system might not work as well since, unlike D&D, you don't need to prepare spells. What's really the point of being able to cast Flame Blast from an item if you can in ten more seconds?

I'm conflicted. Thoughts?

You're too used to D&D.

There already are magical items in the game. There's a metric ****ton of Mage staves that improve various abilities for example, as well as other weapons, clothes, armours and rings.

There definitely is no point to D&D style charged Wands since DA uses Mana. A Mana potion is all you need to cast another Spell of Collateral Damage when you're out of juice.

As I was typing, this occured to me lol. Yeah, I guess it doesn't really make much sense to ask for it.
