Please don't downvote Tali to negate all the 'love' votes. Please be honest with how much you like the character themselves and not how much the fanbase annoys you.

You'd actually be surprised, so far I haven't had noticeably unbalanced results. I really hope it stays this way.

Great survey, I can't wait to see the results. I'm sure Tali will be the 'most popular' as usual, but I'm wondering how popular the other characters are in the grand scheme of things. I think a lot of characters that don't perform well on 'favorite characters' polls are more popular than those polls might otherwise lead one to believe.

That's not a good reason. I voted "Hate Tali" because I hate Tali. Of course a big part of why I hate Tali is the 9000 "loves", but it's not the only reason.

But let's not turn this into another I Hate Tali flame war though. We are all free to like and dislike each character. There are even some people out there who dislike Samara, and even though I can't understand it, I accept it.

At this point I have received over 430 submissions since Monday.
I don't know how many I'm hoping for really, I didn't even expect people to fill it out in the first place. I'm amazed at how much support I'm getting from this. I might give it the full week, but the submissions don't seem to be lessening. I'm getting a constant stream of them.
Yep, I posted it on some of the other major forums (and minor ones) including Gamespot, Neoseeker, Steam and the independent ME forums. I'll probably bump the threads once or twice over the weekend.
The results so far are pretty interesting. Without giving anything away, I was expecting a lot more love for certain characters and a lot more hate for others. I might make a specific NPC survey if this kicks off, I just added that part as an after-thought.

Yes, the results will be posted in a few days. I don't want to release them and then have a swarm of people who are unhappy with them try to vote characters up or down.

How can you be sure people are not cheating? Im sure people will want to complain about that later, so I hope you have a good way to verify your data...

I can't be sure they're not cheating and I never will be. I just believe that withholding the resutls until all the results are submitted and setting it to one vote per person then the results will be less biased. I don't want to admit it, but it's quite easy to trick the system and vote multiple times, but I also have a copy of every indivdual submission. I can cross-check them if need be. Besides, apart from haters voting characters down just because of the fanbase, I can't see how people would 'cheat'.
