I may pre-order it, but only after the trailer is released to get an idea of what the game may be like.

Very disappointed with what I've read so far (esp. in regard to not being able to continue as my Warden, who I've grown rather attached to...and having him 'replaced' w/ a 'set character' w/ voice)

BUT I'll get it anyway. I'll pre-order the collector's edition.

I'll just hope that the story is done well (esp. in regard to my Warden and his choices).

Oh. And Morrigan better be there (as a companion...pleeeease? :D ). Otherwise I'll cry. Manly tears. :P

I don't understand people who will savage a game, say how disappointed they are, and then buy it anyways. Makes absolutely zero sense.

I was shocked and grossly disappointed by the changes I heard being implemented in DA2. From the little information I have, no, I have no desire to buy it. I want it to be at least as customizable as the original, and to not have the ME wheel. I can barely stand that stupid thing in the ME series, I would vomit if I saw it in Dragon Age.

Those are my personal make-or-break points.

I was a bit worried that the tactical combat was gone on but the articles I've read say the tactical combat is still in on PC.

Really? Can you link it? Can you quote it? I haven't heard anything about this yet.

QUOTE: (article cites Game Informer)

- PC version’s combat system the same for the most part:
“The
PC version implements the same strategic approach afforded by a
mouse-and-keyboard control scheme. Rather than try to mimic the PC
experience on consoles, Dragon Age II has a battle system more tailored
to the strengths of the PS3 and 360.”

I'm looking forward to it, most likely a steam preorder (if that is available), but even if I don't like it as more news is released, I'll still probably get it later on, during a Steam sale or something. I can't imagine they can mess it up that badly.

Dragon Age Two - Concerns and the likelyhood of purchase.
Created on 2010-07-11 110 votes, 8 comments, 195 views
How concerned are you about the various aspects of Dragon Age 2 and how will these affect they likelyhood of purchasing the came. I know some things can not be known at this time, just take the most likely outcome.

I'm not worried at all. I will/have pre-ordered DA2 38%(42 votes)

I have a few, very minor concerns, I will almost certainly pre-order/buy DA2 or buy it used/discounted. 28%(31 votes)

I have some significant concerns. There is a chance I will not buy DA2. 26%(29 votes)

I have many major concerns, I will likely not buy DA2 unless my concerns are addressed. 6%(7 votes)

I not even know where to start there is no way I will buy DA2! 1%(1 votes)

At this point I think we can safely say the people screaming bloody murder about "the fans" hating the changes and predicting doom, gloom and a mass exodus are talking out of their rears. There is significant concern, yes but at this time it seems to be only minimally affecting potential sales. Of course things could change we aren't even a week past the official announcement but I'd be willing to wager that things will look as optimistic as they do now or more so as time goes by,

I trust Bioware and their track record to keep me satisfied.

Preordering the CE.

EDIT-

Of course, that could always change, but I doubt it.

Even though I voted will buy/pre-order I guess if say sinkholes opened up that simultaneously destroyed all Bioware offices when all employees were present and then EA pulled a team from say  Madden to finish the game up I would then cancel my pre-order I just don't see something that drastic happening.

I think it was very biased to condense the will buy it used/discounted with pre-order/buy because anyone will buy a game used/discounted even if it sucks. BioWare wouldn't make any money if people bought the game used--so I don't think that should count. Even with that, its still hard to make a prediction.

Will I buy DA 2. Well it depends on a couple of factors. One being money, I'm not a rich gamer to it depends if the game is worth it. This goes into another factor. The rating see I could give a damn less if IGn.com give it a 9 or above. The minute I hear them say the game is fun. I will pretty much make up my mind. The two factors that really matter on this game is story and is the game fun. If the game isn't fun. I'm not going to get it. Fun is first and Story is seconded. =)

Going to have to agree to disagree with you on tht one.  I don't think polls with 47 options, outside of who is your favorite character polls, reveal anything significant.  I could've simply said on a scale of 1-5 indicate your likely hood of buying DA2, the sentances are more for giving flavor text and sample situations.  Obviously there are more situations than the maximum number of allowed poll choices.

I'll do what I usually do with games, which is wait until they come down in price a bit (usually below £20 on Amazon), by which time there should be a patch or two to fix anything that was broken on release.

But yes, I will buy it.

I need to see how the overarching Morrigan plot progresses; it seems to be fundementally linked to the Darkspawn. So I'm definitely buying DA2.

I have to say though that this is still not final since there isn't much to go about yet.

even though I have some major issues with what they have removed I believe that DA2 will be as the other bioware games worthy of a play hrough so will probably buy it.

I'm only waiting for a collector's edition to become available. It's a complete no-brainer, I just adore everything Dragon Age. :)

NO question. Course I am. My little sister would pour water all over my bed if I didn't. Or she'd buy it and jam it into my ps3.

But yeah, I'm pretty excited anyhow. I may even *gasp* buy it on RELEASE. 0_0 From asda of course, lets not get too hasty.
