I'll wait for it to be reviewed first.I don't want to waste my money.
Same and not reveiwed by IGN or Gamespot either
Ill wait for a unbias and reputable source like maybe NYTimes or a host of freelance writers I know not geting paid off so give honest and solid reveiws.
If its to much like Mass Effect 2 or lacking in story/RPG elements, ill skip it and give someone else my money that wants to design for the RPG crowd rather then the ADD twitch crowd.
TOR comes out same month so maybe ill have no time anyways?
All depends on what the unbias and credible reveiwers say.

I'll probably end up buying it. Bioware has yet to let me down.
*sighs* I remember when I use to say that
To bad its no longer true

Also, Bioware have burned a lot of customer goodwill and credibility recently - the hordes of buggy below par DLC for DA. Awakenings been a vastly over-priced bug fest with a horrible conversation system, and also their incredibly abysmal performance in rectifying these bugs in a timely manner. This makes me wonder what happened since DA:O release, maybe EA putting too much pressure for releases too soon, who knows, but quality has really taken a nosedive.
Also, and it may be my imagination, but this seems an awfully quick release for a fully fledged sequel, which makes me wonder about the quality and bug testing we'll get.
My final concern is game length - I distinctly remember, on a thread regarding a voiced protagonist on the DA forums that a dev stated in response to the question of why there was no voiced character that the game length would need to be halved to do that.
As one of the Devs (Rob Bartel?) stated recently that DA was their best selling game then to me that suggests gamers have been crying out for the more traditional type of RPG that DA:O was, so I can't understand why these radical sounding design shifts.

I think it was very biased to condense the will buy it used/discounted with pre-order/buy because anyone will buy a game used/discounted even if it sucks. BioWare wouldn't make any money if people bought the game used--so I don't think that should count. Even with that, its still hard to make a prediction.
Going to have to agree to disagree with you on tht one. I don't think polls with 47 options, outside of who is your favorite character polls, reveal anything significant. I could've simply said on a scale of 1-5 indicate your likely hood of buying DA2, the sentances are more for giving flavor text and sample situations. Obviously there are more situations than the maximum number of allowed poll choices.
You could've just splintered the used/discounted into a factor all on its own. I don't think buying a game used/discounted is equivalent to pre-ordering/buying a game on release. I think that might've mislead a lot of people.

Only going to comment on this one specific point but no it's not really that quick. First one must remember that DAO was in a polishing phase approximately 6-8 months before it's release. It's been 8 months since the release. Right now the release date is another 8 months away, assuming it doesn't get pushed back like DAO was. So at the minumum 6+8+8 = 2 years. And that's assuming that there wasn't some work being done concurrently with DAO which I bet there was at least pre-planning and brainstorming.
It's also ignoring the fact that the engine, world and story have all been worked on for a good 6 years now. Creating those things from scratch takes up a lot of lead time, having it already done allows the game aspect to be worked on at warp 9 instead of a standard warp 6 cruise
2-3 years is very much industry standard for sequels of any type.

1) Death. Even then, I would try and possess someone long enough to make them play it instead.
2) Bioware decides only to release the game on the Wii. If I need a nunchuk, I'm not playing.
3) They say 'hey, we're not going to do that cinematic thing after all. In the interests of real roleplaying, Dragon Age 2 will now be a text adventure'.
LEFT - invalid command - GO LEFT - invalid command - TURN LEFT - invalid command - TURN RIGHT? - invalid command

If there was any other major developer producing anything even remotely resembling an RPG other than Obsidian and Bioware, it would probably be a wait and see game, but I'm so starved for games that even remotely suit my tastes that I'm left grasping at straws.
This is very likely Bioware's last free pass, however.

Even if DA2 sells well, there is always the possibility for them to discontinue the franchise.
