I think Hawke will be the lost child you help in Lothering in DA:O. Bioware has said that Hawke was in Lothering at the same time as the Warden but didn't say how old he was.

No.  See my post above.

Oh, so hawke's the little boy on the bridge who lost his mother. Yeah, either way I told the little bastard to go to the chantry or told him to get lost. We finally know who Hawke is now. I don't know about the femHawke's but we will see? Or maybe Biowares just sexist! Booo! Posted Image

You do realize there were many people in Lothering besides that little boy right?

Y'all do hopefully realize that Hawke can be ANYONE from Lothering, Hawke may very well be different people we know from Lothering depending on which gender and class you choose.

Also, note how Hawke's right arm seems to morph into a bird's claw, like how dragon lady's arm transformed into a dragon one.

And no, no way an armor would somehow normally have a claw like that.

think about it again, yes armor can have claws like that imagine plate claws that are in some way attached to the chainpart of the armor or look for similar references the Prince of Persia (4) Gauntlet up or just take another look an sauron from the lord of the ring movies.
It's definately armor.

Because people automatically assume that an unmarked protagonist MUST be male.

Real, normal armor. Sauron is far from a normal humanoid and the last Prince of Persia - which I loved - was high fantasy.

Edit: When was the last time you saw someone slide along a wall through the use of a claw like that?

Then again if you think about it. IT would be like giving shepard the two unique backgrounds which actually helped his character creation in the long run. I'm wondering if Bioware will do something similar with hawke only something involving the lothering community. I think that would be freaking awesome and I have no problems with it what so ever. Why you ask? BEcause it worked for one game. Why not another!

I'm hoping the crazy dude outside the Chantry is a possible background.

There is no reason why a male Hawke could not be the boy, and a female Hawke be someone else from Lothering.

It's a coverup, obviously, for the other four fingers that have become birdlike.

Dragon Age will indeed be the spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate, especially with these Flemspawn.

Well apparently flemeth is female. Why would she possess a man's body. I only seeing Flemeth looking at your hawke's talents and skills and say this. You are now my new Puppet! Assuming Direct Control!

*sigh*

Hawke isn't necessarily a male.  Yet once again, almost everyone assumes that.

Most likely because the "default gender" is usually male... and the artwork released so far only shows Hawke's "male form".

Unless the boy takes a magical potion to change the color of his skin, yes, there is a reason.

What if they ever meet?

Hawke: So yeah I grew up in Lothering after the Hawkes adopted me, great folk really, mom would bake cookies to bring to the Chantry every sunday and dad and me would go fishing every once and a while. How about you Morrigan?

Morrigan: . . . -uck you.

I was actually thinking that Hawke could've been the guy unwilling to sell his stuff at a lower price. I mean he has the beard, brown skin, and almost the exact same haircut (if I'm not mistaken). Anyways, I doubt we ever saw Hawke in Lothering because he is the Coward of Kirkwall... wait...

hawke can be female or male
merchant is out here
greywarden left before darkspawn could attack

hawke could done tactical retreat like the warden and logain.
reason leaving lothering
going up north can cause lot of trouble
