11. Templars actually able to take down mages. I felt the templar powers in DA:O did not do what they said on the tin. Maybe if you quaffed Lyrium you could get a boost.

Haven't read the thread, but fixing something that bugged me in Origins - upgradable legacy items. It was sweet of your father as a City Elf to give you Adaia's old boots, and taking up the family sword as you swear vengeance on Howe is a powerful sentiment. Getting your ring and staff proving your rank as a full member of the Circle is one of the proudest moments of your young mage's life.

Yet all of these items are obsolete as soon as you leave Ostigar, heck, your mage staff is made obsolete in the origin! I'd like to see items like that be made useful as you advance, even if you have to work to make them useful. But it'd be nice to have struck down Howe with my father's sword without having to carry a lodestone around because I didn't feel like selling a family heirloom.

Dunno if this has ever been mentioned but I wish that:

1 ) Fix the freaking female anatomy - it is currently hideous to behold. Sorry hideous is an understatement but that is the best word I can find within my limited vocabulary.

2 ) Why does female (female - mages) walk/run like a chimpanzee, I mean the manly stride suits male characters but females!?

3 ) Allow us to change character appearance in game, create custom characters and reuse them instead of making over every time; because the character looks quite different in game compared to creation mode rendering.

4 ) Mages are too tough, they can take more than half the punishment a warrior can. Silly really.

5 ) Would be nice to be able to adjust the height and build of the characters.

Roleplaying uses for Blood Magic. Kinda like how in the KOTORs, you could use the Force in roleplaying encounters to do pretty horrible things if you were really that bad of a person. If I become a blood mage and carve a swath of evil across a bunch of unfortunate templars, I want it to have some kind of RP consequence. Generally, this falls into the story-and-gameplay-should-be-buddies-not-enemies suggestion.

I also want the option of being evil. And not the thuggish KOTOR sort of evil or the straight-up jerka*** of Renegade!Shep. Even DA:O's "evil" was mostly straight-up selfish and extortionist. I want to have Magnificent Bastardy potential, the kind of subtle, manipulative, and intelligent evil present in KOTOR II and PS:T. Evil does not have to be characterized by thuggishness, aggression, or ZOMG DESTROY ALL THINGS. It can be much more insidious and intelligent than that, and I'd like to see some.

Seeing Morrigan returning would be a pretty cool addition,
especially if the child that she wanted to sire is involved as well!

If a player refused her in DOA then perhaps she found some other 'ahem' more willing grey warden?

A cool story about the child would be wicked!
Something like 'the soul of the old god was fused with the forming human soul, resulting in a being that could change form between man and dragon, use mage and reaver abilities and be able to make deals with fade demons to increase his/her power without losing his mind". Perhaps in order to revive the imperium and take revenge on the makers children or something?

Hell it would just be AWESOME to understand what the hell Morrigan did that for!!
Because im extremely sure it was not to be charitable!!

I really like some of the kill move animations, a few new styles would be cool, but no biggie if not.

Less bag management, less of non-usable item drops, they just get in the way.

1.Better and larger variety of armors. If I do some side quest to find an armor I want it to be unique rather then have different color palette from the one that I buy in a shop. If it's called skull armor I want it to have skulls on it.

2. Revealing clothes for females. Let's face it, at least half of people playing Dragon Age with females wanted some sexy clothes that are nice on the eyes.

3. Better bodies. Don't know why but I hated how characters looked when taking off their clothes. The proportions and the skin itself left bitter taste in my mouth when looking at it. Don't let me started on female bodies. Even some low budget games have great character models, so BioWare should get this right. Don't get mad people, this is my personal opinion.

4. Bouncing chest physics for females. Ok this is more of a joke, but why not? XD

EDIT: Ending with your romance choice option.

I already posted this in another thread, but I want to make sure its included in the official wishlist:

This is what I would most like to see as far as sidequests go:

If you remember during the Blackstone Irregulars quest on hunting down the deserters, each time you'd approach one, he would say something to the effect of "You don't understand whats really going on here" or "Looks like the Grey Wardens are nothing but pawns and hired muscle." Of course I'm paraphrasing here, but I always wondered what exactly they meant, despite repeating the quest with all of my wardens.

So I would like to see consequences from this quest. I want to see what those deserters meant. How about including a sidequest involving investigation and possibly elimination of corruption in the Irregulars? I think it would be cool, even from Hawke's viewpoint and not the Warden's.

1) Screen capture plus tactical view for console version

2) more open-interactive world

3) Better animation..... eg. the leliana's song at camp scene could have been done much better!!!

4) Apart from action, can't we get more dramas?? eg. Alistair lashing out during landsmeet

5) Longer random conversations. eg. Alistair asking about warden's thought about other companions

I would love some interesting companions. Maybe the discovery of a Gryffon? A darkspawn (the architect?) Or maybe even a demon? I really liked how we had a spirit join you in DA:O:A Too bad they couldn't go further into that. I trust bio-ware with adding unique characters, but those three would be awesome to see.

I'll just add my little dream... I want to be able to steal a dragon's egg, then raise it as my own personal pet. He could be joining me in the fights after a while. It doesnt need to be huge if its a male (I get that high dragons are females?).

They'd have to keep it subtle, otherwise it would just be silly. But if done right, it would be pretty cool. It's not even about sexiness, it's about realism and attention to detail. The sexiness would just be a bonus.

I'd rather see realistic hair physics than realistic breast physics, though. Or at the very least, I'd like to see an in-game explanation for where my character and his companions are getting the ridiculous amounts of hairspray they're clearing using.

1) Darker Fantasy. I mean it. More gloomy. IMO Dark Fantasy doesn't mean Fantasy with heavy metal music in trailers. Dark Fantasy just cant be Epic too. NWN was "darker" than DAO (both awesome games).

2) Magic. Magic in Dark Fantasy must be DARK and dangerous. Magic like in Book of Vile Darkness. Users must be kept in guarded towers cuz of some reason! That they can be corrupted is not enaught.

3) No magic items like Sword of Game Master +100 to all stats. IMO Sharp Sword +1 to dmg is enaught, or at least is good in mid game. Late game can be +3 but no more. Like in first Baldur's Gate game! Im more interested in story of a weapon or armor, or a shape of it (that can be reason why +3 for something).

4) Good relationships with team and sex with a girl only cuz i hurled a ton of gifts into their bags? I wont buy DA2 if its going to happen again! If i have good relationship with someone its cuz we have same goal for example. That must be like in books!

5) Why playing mage Im doomed to wear evening dress for the rest of game?! Why daggers looks like retarded swords?! Do you know what i mean?

Just don't burn me at the stake!

My wishlist is all Shapeshifter-- that is, if Shapeshifter will even be in DA2 (I hope so):

--I'd like to see shifting given a short casting time and a long cooldown time. So you can't just spam/exploit it like with Fade shifting, but it still doesn't take annoyingly long to shift.

--I'd like to see more forms. I'm not sure what the interface would be, or how the talent progression would work for that... but three forms just seems so limited. Although, lore-wise, I believe shifters are only capable of taking the forms of wild creatures, so that's a bit limiting in itself due to the lack of many wild creatures to fight. But still, they could add some things, like the wolf... the bronto... the drake?

--I'd like to see more dynamic environments that are shifter-friendly. For instance, a pillar that a bear could lean on and knock over. Or a weak spot in a wall a bear could plow through. Or a spider hole that you can only enter as a spider without drawing aggro (a suicidal amount of aggro). That's not to say that other characters wouldn't be able to manipulate these things in different ways-- the pillar and the wall could be destroyed by explosives or such, and I suppose a rogue could sneak into the hole.

--I'd like to see stats scale more reasonably (i.e. higher) with spellpower (but no more autohitting via staff, or transferring any weapon properties for that matter).

--I'd like to see first tier spells (e.g. Heal, Winter's Grasp, Rock Armor) cast-able in shifted form. The idea being that these are simple to cast and don't require any complex finger-waggling.

Of course, I'm not sure whether there will be tiers of spells in the same way that there are in DAO, so maybe that last point is moot. For that matter, I'm not sure whether there will still be specializations in DA2, so maybe it's all moot.

My two wishes. I know one, already, won't be met, but I figured I'd at least post it in hopes of the future.

1 - I played through DA:O through on 2 different characters, going every ending route possible in hopes of seeing the result of my decisions through continued NPC/character interactions and world-event options in the expansion or sequels. That time put in never really paid off, and I don't know if I'm inclined to do it again without good reason.
I think how ME2 handled so much character carry-over made it better. As a player, I don't want to start from scratch each time with a new character and/or new party members. I want a continued story where I can see them all grow, and my character with them.
I didn't just like the NPC's because they were deep and well written...what made me love them was that /My character/ got to know them so well. I hope in some future game we get to keep up with those stories and continue to develop our old characters, and relationships.

2-  The one that is maybe still possible -  I'm really afraid that DA:2 will be more like ME2 with NPC interaction. Especially after playing the DA:O DLC. I say this because I think the story in ME was much more intriguing, and so what it lacked with NPC interaction/dynamics and conversation, it made up for in plot and character carry-over. I loved DA:O MORE, regardless of the story being more typical and predictable, because of the in depth conversations/npc development and growth and my ability to develop and change those relationships.

So, since I know the first wish won't be met now, and possibly never, my ONE wish is that Bioware doesn't scrap the interactions or reduce them thinking they are in any way unimportant. I WISH that DA2 is just as in depth, deep, and interesting for NPC AND Player character development as DA:O was - if not more so. I want to see more of that, not less. I think more of DA:O-style interactions would have made for better ME2 story as well.

I hated getting stonewalled in the DA:O DLC and ME games by characters after three lines of conversation - or having the fact that something important just happened get ignored with some 'talk to me later' response.

/sigh/ Oh well.

As for the rest of the game, I know you guys can handle just about every play/programming and design mechanic. I wouldn't even complain if you added laser guns and pink unicorns, because I know you would do it well. So really, the above is my only concern. Albeit a major one. The reason I play Bioware games and opted out of any of the new fallout games (for example) is because they lacked this.

Yes this. Casafyn's 2nd point. More interaction with NPCs with more depth and nuance please. :wizard:

I would really like to have Hawke being able to 'fight' and 'make up' with companions. Just an idea.

And while it's nice to have all the NPCs mostly reacting to the player's character, I like to see some more interaction amongst the NPCs themeselves (like becoming friends/enemies or developing romantic interest.) It just takes something out of the immersion experience when everyone in game fixes so much attention on the player's character and not much else.

Also more same-gender friendship stuff would be awesome (like in Origins when Lilianna asks female warden details about her romance with Alistair. And I was hoping a male warden could have some male-bonding bromance moments with Alistair but alas, he seems to more willing to open up to a female warden.)
