:o  Oh god no.  Though I suppose Thane is a Your Mileage May Vary character.  So too were Kaidan, Carth, and Anomen.   I fall into the "throw them all into an acid vat" category when I'm not using them as my personal punching bags.

I'd like some of the art design from ME in DA.  The ME art design felt cleaner, fuller--the world of Mass Effect had a visual uniqueness to it that made the whole thing live and breathe.  DA:O didn't look bad, but it felt kinda empty compared to ME.  And TOO GODDAMN BROWN.

The combat in DA could also use some work.  Again, it wasn't bad, but it was poorly paced.  Mass Effect 2 did an excellent job of pacing combat--both the flow of combat itself, and how it cut in with talking/roleplaying.  I never felt like combat slogged.  In DA:O, the combat encounters in the Deep Roads were almost unplayably sloggy.

Because they are hideious. Whoever designed those was ether playing a joke on us, or just had no taste in designing helms.

And you have to wear the bloody things for stats.

You cant say ''oh i dont like swords they look like a **** i want to use axes but swords have better stats so i want a option to make my sword to look like my axe''

That's a horrible analogy.

As long as they don't incorporate any changes that were made during the ME->ME2 development stage then I am happy. In terms of RPG features, all ME2 did was detract from the series. Simply awful. Obviously, judging by my thane picture, I did like some of the characters more.

Ugh, no...QTE's are horrible game mechanics. I can take a lot of things but that one just isn't on the list.

YES.

@Sydney:  QTE's aren't bad, they're just hard to implement well.  The problem is that they require you to focus on the QTEs rather than the badass things your character's doing on-screen.  The QTEs in GoW III weren't terrible, and the QTEs in Force Unleashed were surprisingly NOT terrible in an otherwise painful game.  But the controls of Heavy Rain, specifically the QTEs, left a great deal to be desired.

The QTE's in the Force unleashed were bad not uniquely because they are all basically the same. The probelm with QTE's is that they take whatever game you are playing and turn it into some version of DDR and like in Force Unleashed they tend to occur in boss fights so it can look all cinematic and cool. All the skills and things you learn in the game go *poof* because now to beat this boss all you have to do is match button sequences.

I'd much prefer a standup fight with Flemeth or a YMIR Mech using the same game mechanics I've mastered than some sort of thing where I hit X, Y,Y,A, A, B,B while leaping up the dragon's back to stick her in the head.

Some armor sets require them for the set bonuses. If you really want to turn it down, sure thing.

Simply put, hell no.

ME and DA are both great games. However, they are very different and rightly so. The game styles of each complement their content. Nuff said.

I'd like for the more action oriented combat to carry over.
