I do not like this.
Will it be any different in DA2?

I would really like it if we could choose our body type. It was annoying that every guy in DAO was super ripped, and women just looked weird without any clothes. They only had a few exceptons with "fat" body types on a few NPCs.
If games like APB and Saints Row 2 can pull it off, there's no reason a company like Bioware shouldn't be able to.

Doubt it.
Yeah, me too, to be honest. Doesn't hurt to ask, though, right?

Probably not, but at this point we barely know anything about the game.

ME1+2 did a good job with body size. Bioware can do it, lets hope it happens in DA2.

Thats a matter of opinion...I happened to hate the body models in both Mass Effect games as well (especially the women with their giraffe necks)
I think its just the fact that everyone looks EXACTLY the same that bigs me, it's impossible not to notice after a while.

What exactly would you propose, filaminstrel?
Well, unique bodies. So you can at least choose your height, and maybe other proportions as well. I suppose you could say it's kind of weird for the armor to magically conform to any body size, but I prefer that over the body magically conforming to any armor or robe size. Although I prefer either of those over the armor only being wearable if it's the right size, which would probably be the most realistic.

Shmaybe, It's a double edged sword. It's a good idea if they commit to it and smooth it out, you're much more likely to have things like (worse) clipping issues with custimizable bodies though.
But at this point in gaming history thats proven to not even be an issue in recent games.
The customization doesnt even have to be that drastic. A slider to adjust how "big" your characters muscles are, a slider to adjust how "toned" they are, and maybe, JUST maybe a slider for height (I would love that).

True that player models were limited, but more models will take up more memory and such.

I hated that about DAO. Face tatoo's were completely weird unless you played as a dailish and it made sense in the story as to why you'd have these massive tats across your face.

You must not have tried to make an Elf with exceptionally big ears, or a dude with a beard and shallow cheeks in DAOOr maybe clipping stands out more for me, I find it annoying.
I find it annoying too, but thats the point I'm trying to make. Recent games have done this without such issues, so theres no reason why Bioware CAN'T.

I don't know, I see a lot of avatars with tattoos on these forums. I used tattoos on my human mage, elf rogues, and casteless dwarves only. So, about half of my characters.

I used tattoos on some like my avatar, and on others I didn't, but on all of them I wish I had options to put tattoos on different body parst

That was actually avoidable if you picked the facial hair you wanted LAST, but yes, that was something I was hoping they would fix and never did. There was really no reason for that to happen, there were plenty of NPCs with the facial hair without the sunken cheeks without any clipping.

Yeah, thats true, but the important thing for me was that the lips stayed the same. Besides...Either that or have your character look like an Auschwitz victim, your choice, lol.
