the following is a list of order of priority the toolset looks for when loading a game according to WIKI

# My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override
# Program Files\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override
# My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<moduleUID>\\core\\override
# My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<moduleUID>\\core\\patch
# My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<moduleUID>\\core\\locale
# My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<moduleUID>\\core\\textures
# My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<moduleUID>\\core\\audio\\VO
# My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<moduleUID>\\core\\audio\\Sound
# My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<moduleUID>\\core\\env
# My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\<moduleUID>\\core\\data

My Question:
If I have a file called "core_file.dlg" (for this example) which exists in the games core files, which has 5 attributes,
and I would like to change Attribute 1, export and place it in
My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override

and I have another exported "core_file.dlg" file which changes attribute # 2,(leaving attribute #1 as in core) export and place it in:
Program Files\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override

Would the game use both changes? or would the game *only* use the last change? (attribute 1)

Very interested to know this, as I would like to produce a mod that does not clash with others who have edited the same file.

All help is appreciated !

Right. Thanks...

So what would be the advantage in placing a file in \\addins\\override versus packages\\override? testing purposes? default export directories? Audio specific? new core specific?

one effect only your addin the other effect every module using the core resources. (which basically is ALL modules)

if you can you should stick with addin so that you don't screw up others modules, and so you can untick your addin if it doesn't work well with others.
